SUMMARIZE THE CASE:

THE LAW ON TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY

(Official Gazette of Montenegro 2/18, 04/18, 13/18 and 25/19)

This Law shall regulate the conditions for the performance of tourism and hospitality
activities and other matters of importance for tourism and hospitality. The performance
of tourism and/or hospitality activities shall be based on the following principles. The
planning and implementing of tourism development policy, Sustainable development of
tourism based on the compatibility of the interests of economic development and the
need to protect the environment and its resources, with adjustment to climate change.

As I read the Case I also understand the different meaning of terms of certain expressions
used in this Law. I also learned about the Tourism activity it means the provision of
services by: tourist agencies, tourist guides, tourist escorts, event organizers or
representatives in cultural as well as the provision of other services under this Law. A
tourist means a natural person who spends at least 24 hours or stays for at least one
night, but no longer than one year without interruption, in a place outside of his place of
residence for the purpose of holiday, leisure, entertainment. I also understand the
responsibilities of TOURIST AGENCY, TOURIST GUIDE, TOURIST ESCORT, EVENT
ORGANIZER AND REPRESENTATIVE. The conditions for Issuing a License to a Tourist
Agency as well as the Rights and Obligations of Tourist Agency Agent.
TOURISM SERVICES IN HEALTH TOURISM

Health tourism is the provision of health services in natural rehabilitation centres where a
stay is organized for the users of such services, for the purpose of illness prevention,
treatment and rehabilitation.

I also find out about the other tourism services, The types of Hospitality facilities. And also
the mystery guest. A mystery guest shall be one or more natural persons or a legal
entity designated by the Ministry to monitor compliance with the conditions for the
assigned category of four-star and five-star levels. The obligation of caterers and
Prohibition on the Serving of Alcoholic Drinks.

Tourist Resorts

A tourist resort is a type of hospitality facility which is built on land covering between
a minimum of 5 ha and a maximum of 150 ha and which represents a functional and
business unit.

I also read about the Hospitality Services in Households Hospitality services in a

household shall be considered to be services of: Accommodation in rooms and organizing
of a camp on one’s own land for a maximum of 15 accommodation units or 30 persons at
the same time, for natural persons only.
