Today well be looking through different arts and crafts from
south east asian countries through the art exhibit of Group
3.
Jana:
First up,lets go to the land of active volcanoes, ancient
temples, monuments, lakes, beaches, hills, markets and tea
plantations, ladies and gentlemen welcome to the Island of
Java, Indonesia.
Jewel:
Java, indonesia is the place where the technique “Batik” is
originated.

Another arts and crafts from Indonesia is the Wayang Kulit

Last but not least, lets go the country that is famous not just
for its bustling capital and cultural charm, but also famous
for its stunning coastal areas, welcome the country of
you is malaysia’s famous Wau Kite.

The Wau kite in malay is a uniquely designed malaysian kite
called "wau". The reason why its called Wau Kite is because
its wings are similar to an arabic letter pronounced "wow".
This kite making tradition comes naturally to malaysian
people, especially in the eastern states of the malaysian
peninsula.
Jana:
Back then, farmers would use these kites as scarecrows in
the field and as a means to lull theyre children to sleep, so
they could work with a little interruption. But now, kite flying
has become a popular sport not just in malaysia, but also
internationally. Malaysia even celebrates kite festivals, like
the Pasir Gudang International Kite Festival, wich also
encourages more tourists to visit their country.

South east asian countries have theyre own arts and crafts,
but they are inspired or related to each other.

And through these arts and crafts, they show their love for
they're country and their culture.
