Philippine Constitution
Today, almost every democratic country has a constitution, which is a crucial document
that governs how the government operates. The rights of citizens of a country are
protected by the constitution, regardless of their religion, caste, creed, sex, or physical
appearance. As a result, a constitution can be reasonably described as a social contract
between the government and the people responsible for it.
Because the country's constitution supersedes all laws enacted inside the country's
territorial jurisdiction, any law made by the ruling government must be under the relevant
constitution. As a result, citizens would follow not only the law but also labor in
accordance with the country's constitution.
The constitution not only lays out a blueprint for the effective government but also
addresses power limits. Because absolute power corrupts absolutely, a constitution is
constructed to prevent people in positions of power from abusing their positions.
The Bill of Rights is found in Article III of the Philippine Constitution. It establishes the
individual's relationship with the state and defines the individual's rights by limiting the
state's permissible powers. It is one of the Philippines' most significant political
successes.
For generations, British, French, and American politics have been divided.
There has emerged a conviction that individual rights must be served and maintained
through the established mechanisms of stated constitutional law, rather than by the
authority of a person, membership in a particular group or party, or reliance on the power
of arms.
Adoption of this notion in the Philippines was not as straightforward as one might expect.
It’s assumed Traditional ways of thinking influenced the outcome.
In other aspects, the concept was unfamiliar at first, and political experience and
education had to be added to the Rights feature so that the Filipino's approach to group
organizational difficulties could become second nature.
4. As a Filipino citizen, how can we benefit if we are familiar with the 1987
constitution? Elaborate. 10pts.
The Constitution is significant because it safeguards individual liberty and establishes the
fundamental principles of the United States. Citizens have influence over the
government, according to the Constitution. It develops a system of checks and balances
that limits the government's power.
The 1987 Constitution represents the pinnacle of Philippine independence. In our
political system, it is the most important institution. The justification for delaying the
passage of an Anti-Political Dynasty Law, on the other hand, solely favors politicians
who are members of political dynasties.
The Philippine Constitution is significant because it safeguards our rights and allows us
to live a fulfilling life. It assists us in understanding our limitations and the proper actions
we should take in order to become decent citizens. We'll know how to defend ourselves
against intruders.
The preamble is significant because it explains why certain clauses of the Philippine
Constitution exist. It would reveal what the Filipino people aspire to be, what they
believe in, and what they are striving towards.
