1. Verbal Communication → It is the communication carried out by words using our voice.
Listening is a very important process of “Verbal Communication”. We use three parts of our body
“vocal chord”, “mouth” and “ears” for Verbal Communication.
2. Non-Verbal Communication → Whatever we communicate without using any words is called
”Non-Verbal Communication”. In other words, we can say that, it is the process of sending and
receiving messages without using any “gestures” and “postures”, “any words”, “either spoken” or
“written”.

The interpersonal communication is very important as it involves our interactions in personal lives
and professional lives including the organizational communication. The communication that takes
place between individuals related to an organization like “employees”, “employers”, “suppliers”,
“clients”, “competitors”, “business associates” etc., plays an important role in deciding the role of
action and ultimately the success of an organization.
