PROJECT:

“Design and development of an autonomous and health-oriented plan

for physical conditioning of strength, flexibility and balance”.

1. BASIC GUIDELINES
It is a team work in which every group will have to design and put into practice their
own training plan with the aim of having proper results in the physical fitness tests, which,
mainly, say if the physical fitness of somebody is healthy.
The following guidelines should be followed:
 The plan will be made up of 3 sessions that will be put into practice inside the gym.

 Every session will last 45 minutes and should include 3 phases: warm-up, main part
and cool-down.

o The warm-up will take between 7 and 10 minutes.

o The main part will be focused on training strength and balance. Concerning
strength, the three main parts of the body (upper limb, core and lower limb)
should be worked out in every session.

o The cool-down will take 5-10 minutes and will be focused on training flexibility,
specially those joints and muscles that lose flexibility easier and that are keys for
a proper posture.

 There should be enough variety of physical exercises and a clear progression of the
load along the 3 sessions. For this progression, the following resources can be used:

o Increasing the volume of work, which can be done by increasing the number of
exercises, sets or repetitions in every set.

o Increasing the intensity of work, which can be done by increasing the difficulty of
the exercises or the weight to move.

 When designing the sessions, students will take into consideration that the available
material in the high school should be shared by all groups.
