Designing the Lesson Plan with ADDIE Model

Analysis : My course will be implemented for second grade primary student. A


course in this class is about greetings and introduction. This course should exist
because the students are not able to answer my greeting and my question when I
asked the students’ names. So, I decided to end up with this course to teach them
how to greet someone and introduce themselves to others. The targets of this
meeting are the students are able to use the greetings phrase and able to use the
introduction phrase and practice it. I hope after I carried out this course my
students will know how to respond a greeting and know how to introduce
themselves.

My strategy in this lesson is first I invite them to sing along a song entitled ‘if
you're happy’ to boost their mood. After that I greeted them with good morning
greetings and asked them to answer good morning too. Then I start the lesson by
interacting with my students so they don't get bored.

Design : In this lesson I will make my own teaching materials. For greetings and
introduction materials, I will write down the material on the whiteboard and ask
the students to write it down in their notebook. I will make this lesson interactive
because there will be pair and group activities.

This course will take 90 minutes. First activity we will sing a song and it takes 10
minutes. Then, I will give 20 minutes for writing down the notes from
whiteboard. Then we will learn how to pronounce it for 10 minutes. For
individual student activities it will take 20 minutes. For the pair activity it will
take 20 minutes and for the group activity it will take 15.

To get students' attention in studying, I will interact with them, for example before
doing individual assignments, I will invite one of the students to do greetings and
introductions.

Development :

For individual activity:

Each student will practice the greetings and introduction phrase and then
introduce themselves in front of the class using appropriate expressions.

Pair activity: the students will have a conversation in front of the class, asking for
the name and the condition. Then they will introduce their partner in front of the
class.

Group activity: in this activity, one group consists of 4 students. I will provide the
list of question and then I will ask students to take a number and they will ask the
question to one friend from the group.

Example: one student pick question number 4. The question number 4 is how are
you today? One friend that he/she chose to answer he/she question will answer the
question.

Implementation : Implementation of learning design is done so that students can


receive material that has been developed from their needs. Students will be invited
to participate in every activity so that the learning targets in this meeting can be
achieved properly.
Evaluation: In the evaluation stage, I will give a worksheet to each student. The
worksheet contains questions about greetings and introduction.
