Horror Film Script Draft γ

Basic premise:
A group of three characters come across a dead body of one of
their comrades. They are both terrified and confused on how their
friend is dead, but then the protagonist figures out a way to
time travel (undecided how) to try and save them. However, the
protag finds out that he's the reason their friend is dead,
killing them by accident when trying to save them from the
antagonist. And then it's implied that the rest of the film is
revolved around the protagonist avoiding both the murderer and a
potential paradox if he runs into his past self. We could include
a small amount of comedy just to have some fun with the film.

[establishing shot of apartment complex]
INT. – NIGHT – HALLWAY (BILLY’S CLUBHOUSE)
[shot of hallway including an emergency exit door and bathroom
door]
PROTAG:
[slides into frame from the right side, knocks on the bathroom
door]
 “Hey, you’ve been in there for a while, is everything alright?”
[silence for two beats, knocks faster]
“I SAID IS EVERYTHING ALRIGHT!?”
[silence for another two beats, knock unbelievably fast]
“FOR GOD’S SAKE ARE YOU DEAF OR SOMETHI-!?”
[opens door accidentally and falls through]
[PROTAG is greeted by the corpse of victim. He then sees a
glimmering object beside him and touches it, suddenly the corpse
is gone, and PROTAG time travelled]
VICTIM:
[taps PROTAG’s shoulder off screen then shows himself]
“Uhh…How did you get down here before me? Anyway, I gotta go
sooo…”
PROTAG:
[stands up frantically]
“W-W-WAIT! DON’T GO IN THAT BATHROO-!”
MURDERER:
[appears through the emergency exit wielding a katana]
[notices PROTAG with VICTIM, is shown startled]
PROTAG:
[approaches MURDERER and kicks katana out of hand and readies it,
VICTIM tries to slowly escape, but MURDERER grabs him and holds
him in place in front of the bathroom]
[readies katana]
“LET HIM-!”
[slashes downwards]
“-GO!”
MURDERER:
[dodges to the side, and PROTAG cuts VICTIM’s stomach open,
PROTAG steps back in panic and is visibly shaking]
[VICTIM falls backwards and slumps in the bathroom and drops a
glimmering object similar to the one from the beginning]
[MURDERER tries to escape and PROTAG chases after him with the
katana through the emergency exit]
[silence for three beats and PROTAG from the past enters the
frame and knocks on the bathroom door]
[flashy title card plays]
[end of opening]
