• Skin contact
Molten material can cause severe burns. In case of contact of molten polymer with skin do
not abrade the skin-Cool the burn with water, cover the burn and seek medical advice. In case
of skin exposure to product dust, wash with water and soap and rinse thoroughly.
• Eye contact Rinse opened eye for several minutes under running water. Exposure to splashing
of hot product treat the eyes with cold water –seek medical advice.

SAFETY DATA SHEET

According to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006

6.1. Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures

Do not allow bystanders and unauthorized personnel. In the case of releasing large quantities of
product, label area with warning signs. To work related to the elimination of the consequences of
accidental release refer a person trained and equipped with personal protective equipment (see
section 8).

Avoid the scattering of dust in the air (e.g. when cleaning dusty surfaces with compressed air).
Remove sources of ignition, do not smoke and do not use sparking tools (risk of dust explosion).

Ensure adequate ventilation. Do not inhale dust. Avoid direct contact with spilled product and remove
product dust from contaminated clothing. Surfaces contaminated with granulate may be slippery.

6.2. Environmental precautions

Prevent product from entering drains, surface water and groundwater, basements and other
enclosed low-lying spaces.

6.3. Methods and material for containment and cleaning up

Small amounts of spillage should be collected in suitable, closed and labelled containers and be
disposed of. When collecting large quantities, you can use vacuum dust removal equipment. In the
case of pollution of water reservoirs, reduce the released granules by means of protective booms.
The collected product must be placed in a sealable container appropriately labeled, to be disposed of
or recycled.

Section 7: Handling and storage

7.1. Precautions for safe handling

Comply with general hygiene principles and safety regulations for working with.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Be sure to avoid contact with the molten product - melted product
can cause severe skin burns and eye damage.
Avoid the formation and spread of product dust and dust accumulation. Be particularly careful while
performing tasks associated with grinding (e.g. milling granules). Dust of the ground /crushed/
product poses a risk of explosion. Comply with the regulations regarding the presence at the
workplace of an explosive atmosphere.
Do not use the product near an open flame, heat or other sources of ignition. Do not expose the
product to direct sunlight. Forbid smoking.
The product may accumulate static electricity (e.g. as a result of friction occurring during mixing and
handling). Take measures to prevent the accumulation of electrostatic discharge (proper grounding,

bridging). Use non-sparking equipment. Do not breathe dust. Do not inhale fumes and vapors formed
during heating of the product. Provide adequate ventilation, including local exhaust ventilation.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (see section 8). Product dirty clothing and shoes
should be removed and cleaned/washed before reuse.
Observe the rules of hygiene. Do not eat, drink or smoke while handling the product, except in places
designed for this; wash hands before breaks and after work.

7.2 Conditions for safe storage including any incompatibilities

Store in roofed, dry, well ventilated places at room temperature and at atmospheric pressure in
original unopened packaging (plastic), or in silo made of appropriate material (aluminium staineless
steel). Avoid dust accumulation by use of filters in pneumatic transport equipment.Avoid static
electricity build up with connection to earth. Store away from heating sourses.Protect the product
from moisture. Keep away from oxidizers and other incopatible substances (Section 10) .

8.2 Exposure controls

Appropriate engineering controls
Ventilate as needed to control airborne dust. Provide adequate ventilation. Observe Occupational
Exposure Limits and minimise the risk of inhalation of dust.
Individual protection measures, such as personal protective equipment
General information
Personal protective equipment should be chosen according to the CEN standards and in discussion
with the supplier of the personal protective equipment.
Eye/face protection Wear dust-resistant safety goggles where there is risk of eye contact.
Skin protection
- Hand protection Wear suitable gloves. Suitable gloves can be recommended by the glove supplier.
