E-Safety Rules

Personal Information:
You shouldn’t share with strangers on the internet, like:

full name

date of birth

address

phone numbers

personal photographs

credit card code

E-Safety
Be careful when you are working online or using the internet, so remember
to be S.M.A.R.T

 You can put yourself in problems when accepting emails from people that
you do not know.

 Don't give your personal information to strangers online.

 You should tell an adult that you trust when you meet someone for the first
time that you just chat with him online.

 You should tell your parent if someone or something makes you feel
uncomfortable online.

 Personal Information:
Never give personal information about yourself in chat rooms, web pages, or
online forms.

 Never meet someone:


Never agree to meet someone you know from the Internet without your
parents

 Internet Purchases:
Never enter an area that costs money, requires a credit card, requires
personal information and asks for passwords.
 Downloads:
Never accept a file or download from another user.
 Web page:
Do not visit web pages that are sent to you in e-mail, chat, or instant
messengers without parent present.
 Gifts:
Never accept any gift from users you meet online.
 Friends:
Don't give your friend information as it could be tied to you.

Cyber bullying
is the use of electronic technology - Electronic
technology includes cell phones, computers, and tablets
as well as communication tools including social media
sites, text messages, chat, and websites to annoy,
threaten or upset someone.

Cyber bullying can include:



texting scary or rude messages by mobile phone.

sending unpleasant photographs by mobile phone.

using online message boards, chat rooms or social networking sites to post
cruel messages.

Cyberbullying can happen because of one or more of the following:



sending bad texts or emails.

posting lies on social networking sites.

sharing bad videos or photos online.

If you are being bullied – what should you do?



Never respond to him.

Tell an adult you trust like your father, mother and teacher.

Digital privacy : The protection of personal information.

Rules of Netiquette for Online Discussion

1- Before posting your question to a discussion board, check if


anyone has asked it already and received a reply.

2- Stay on topic – Don’t post irrelevant links, comments, thoughts, or


pictures.
3- Don’t type all the text or the post in Captal letters If you do, it will
look like you’re screaming or shouting.
4- remember to say “Please” and “Thank you”
5- Respect the opinions of your Friends.
6- If you reply to a question from a classmate or afriend, make sure
your answer is accurate.
7- If you ask a question and many people respond, summarize all
answers and post that summary to benefit your whole class.
8- Be brief. donot write a long answer in response to a simple
question.
9- don’t call others stupid .
10- Before asking a question, check the class FAQs, FAQs means
Frequently asked questions.
11- Be forgive your classmate if makes a mistake .
12- Run a spelling and grammar check before posting anything to the
discussion board.
13- If you refer to something your classmate said earlier in the
discussion, quote just a few key lines from their post.
14- Check the most recent comments before you reply to an older
comment
15- Don’t write anything that sounds angry, even as a joke.
