Printing:

It was a fantastic experience for me to start printing. The beginning procedure of printing was
fascinating for me. As an enthusiastic textile student, I always wanted to learn from printing and
knitting. It was an excellent opportunity to start my knowledge from the basic printing
techniques, including shibori, disperse, puff, frock, binder, colour chart, metallic, vinyl, etc. The
methods I have enjoyed the most are Dysperse, frock, puff, and metallic.
In textile, the most critical process is the process of printing. The garments chosen for the
procedure are usually high quality and the best garments of the companies. Therefore, the
importance of printing cannot be denied. The techniques that I learned are used to print complex
and cutting-edge designs. In my opinion, shibori, flock, and vinyl printing was the best printing
technique among all the types. I liked the way we sandwiched the cloth for our print. This
printing style changed a lot of my perspectives about textile. Moreover, in vinyl, I enjoyed a lot,
as the technique is unique than another printing technique. In shibori, I printed velvet, which o
think is the best way of showing off the attractive print of shibori. It is complex processes but
comes out very beautiful. Moreover, I used heat press method in printing dysperse on plaza.
Therefore, these techniques will help me provide opportunities to work on advanced printing
techniques as I have the basic knowledge and skills.
My experience of using these techniques in the activities was excellent. Although Shibori
technique was still the best one for me as the whole procedure was very satisfying. The outcomes
of these printing techniques were terrific. Moreover, I also practiced printing at home and
researched over internet. Overall, the experience was good even though it was tough initially, but
it became more manageable when I got to know the designs and processes.

Knitting:
Knitting is an exciting process in the textile. We had about 12 techniques, which helped us
improve our practical experience in making knits. Some of these techniques were great enough
to encourage me for my further tasks in textile. One of my favourites in knitting are colour
stripes, lifting (both random and pleats), tubes plains, tubes stripes, and fur. However, fur was
the best one that I enjoyed the most among these techniques. These techniques were very
experimental as I failed on the first try. Therefore, I had to concentrate on even the smallest
regions to make the knits on my full potential.
Among all the techniques, ladders were rigid for me as a starter. It took a lot of my time and
trials to make ladders. It contains deep concepts of driving needles and threads to create a shape
precisely like ladders. It looks beautiful, but the procedure is complicated. Although all the
techniques result in stunning outcomes, it is hard to go through the processes. I had a bit of
difficulty initially, but I got used to it once I started enjoying making knits through different
techniques of knitting. Knitting is all about understanding the procedure. Therefore, once you get
to know the processes, playing with needles and yarn becomes a fun activity. From my point of
view, this complex process has taught me a lot and is beneficial for my future programs. The
difficulties have led me to master some of the skills of knitting in the basics, which is helpful to
go through complex processes in the future.
