VSTEP_LISTENING
TỔNG QUAN
• Tổng thời gian: 40 phút bao gồm cả thời gian nhập câu trả lời trên máy vi tính
• Thí sinh chỉ được nghe duy nhất 01 lần
• Đề thi gồm 3 phần:
✓ Phần 1: Các hướng dẫn, thông báo hoặc đoạn hội thoại ngắn
✓ Phần 2: Các đoạn hội thoại dài
✓ Phần 3: Các đoạn hội thoại dài dưới hình thức bài diễn văn, bài giảng, bài nói chuyện hoặc thuyết trình
• Về nội dung, ngôn ngữ
✓ Phần 1: chủ đề đa dạng nhưng thiên về các hoạt động trong cuộc sống thường ngày.
✓ Phần 2 và Phần 3: Đời sống xã hội, nghề nghiệp hoặc giáo dục, khoa học
• Về cách thức trả lời: Trắc nghiệm khách quan đa lựa chọn
✓ Mỗi câu hỏi, đề thi cho sẵn 04 lựa chọn. Thí sinh thao tác chọn câu trả lời trên màn hình máy vi tính
Chú ý:
- Thời gian thi là 40 phút, nhưng các bài nghe chỉ độ dài khoảng 20-25 phút thôi. Thí sinh có thể chủ động thời gian bật file nghe. →
Dành thời gian đọc câu hỏi và các lựa chọn trước khi bật file nghe.
- Tổng các file nghe trong bài thi Listening: (7 file nghe)
+ Part 1: 01 file nghe.
+ Part 2: có 3 page – mỗi page là 1 conversation và 1 file nghe.

Thí sinh nghe các hướng dẫn, thông báo, hội thoại ngắn
o 08 câu hỏi
o 08 thông báo, hướng dẫn, chỉ dẫn. Mỗi một thông báo, hướng dẫn hoặc chỉ dẫn sẽ có 1 câu hỏi đi kèm.
o Trước khi nghe: 48 giây để đọc câu hỏi và các lựa chọn.
o Sau khi nghe: 08 giây để kiểm tra lại
Chú ý: Dành 2-3 phút đọc kĩ câu hỏi và phân tích các lựa chọn của 8 câu hỏi trước khi bật file nghe.

CÁC LOẠI CÂU HỎI

1. Câu hỏi tổng quan
• Nắm được ý tổng quát của cả bài nghe để chọn câu trả lời đúng

1.1. Câu hỏi về địa điểm (location)

• Xác định người đọc thông báo , hướng dẫn đang ở đâu hoặc đoạn hội thoại diễn ra ở đâu
• Câu hỏi thường có dạng:
✓ Where are the speakers? (Người nói đang ở đâu)
✓ Where is the man/woman/ speaker? (Người nam/nữ/ nói đang ở đâu?)
✓ Where is the conversation/ announcement/….taking place? (Cuộc đối thoại/ thông báo này đang diễn ra ở đâu?)
• Chú ý:
✓ Các lựa chọn là từ/ cụm từ chỉ các địa điểm khác nhau. Tuy nhiên những cụm từ này thường không được nhắc trực tiếp
trong bài. → Tập trung tìm các từ/cụm từ liên quan đến địa điểm cụ thể → suy luận ra địa điểm

Phần 2 và Phần 3: Conversations and Talks

Phần 2 của bài thi Vstep Listening gồm 3 đoạn hội thoại với tổng thời gian là khoảng 10 – 12 phút. Mỗi đoạn có 04 câu hỏi dạng
Multiple-Choice, mỗi câu hỏi có 4 lựa chọn (A, B, C và D). Tổng số câu hỏi là: 12 câu

Phần 3 gồm 03 bài độc thoại (talks) với tổng thời gian là khoảng 12 phút – 15 phút. Mỗi đoạn có 05 câu hỏi dạng multiple-choice với
4 lựa chọn/1 câu. Tổng số câu hỏi của phần 3: 15 câu

Chủ đề của Phần 2 và Phần 3 thường liên quan đến đời sống xã hội, nghề nghiệp hoặc giáo dục, khoa học xã hội và khoa học tự
nhiên

Các dạng câu hỏi thường gặp:

2.1. Nghe và nhận biết ý chính (Listen for the main idea)
Câu hỏi thuộc loại này yêu cầu thí sinh nghe và nhận biết được chủ đề hoặc ý chính của đoạn hội thoại hay đoạn độc thoại.

Câu hỏi thường có dạng:

❖ What is the topic of the talk/conversation?

❖ What is the talk/conversation mainly about?
❖ What aspect of (X) does the speaker mainly discuss?
❖ What are the speakers talking about?
Cách nghe và chọn câu trả lời:

✓ Thông tin giúp trả lời câu hỏi liên quan đến chủ đề hoặc ý chính thường được khẳng định trực tiếp ở ngay phần mở đoạn hội
thoại hoặc bài thuyết trình. Đối với các bài Talks (phần 3), đôi khi ta phải xâu chuỗi ý chính của các phần trong bài thuyết
trình đó để suy luận ra câu trả lời.
✓ Chú ý các từ khóa được lặp đi lặp lại trong bài. Những từ này cũng có thể giúp ta suy luận ra chủ đề của bài.

Cách trả lời câu hỏi:

Câu hỏi yêu cầu thí sinh nghe và nhận biết một chi tiết cụ thể được khẳng định trong đoạn hội thoại hoặc bài giảng.

❖ According to the speaker, what …….?
❖ What type…? Who…..? Where….? When….? Which….? How many….?
❖ What is stated in the lecture about…..?

Cách trả lời:

❖ Thông tin cần thiết để trả lời các câu hỏi chi tiết này thường được khẳng định trực tiếp ở trong bài. Thêm vào đó, thứ tự câu
hỏi và trật tự thông tin cần thiết để trả lời cho câu hỏi đó là giống nhau.
❖ Đọc câu hỏi, xác định loại thông tin cần tìm, phân tích xem thông tin đó gắn với ai (the man hay the woman?), thông tin đó
liên quan đến sự việc gì
❖ Đọc và phân tích các lựa chọn A-B-C-D
❖ Tập trung lắng nghe các thông tin theo đúng trật tự trong bài
❖ So sánh đối chiếu thông tin trong bài với các lựa chọn
❖ Câu trả lời thường là lựa chọn diễn đạt lại ý ở trong bài

2.4. Câu hỏi suy luận

• Yêu cầu thí sinh đưa ra kết luận cho vấn đề nào đó dựa trên thông tin được trình bày trong bài nghe
