A message to all Readers

It’s rather cliché to thank one’s

audience, but I’m going to do it
anyway. This may be a school
project, but I put my heart and soul
into it and I hope that it was worth
the read.

Please keep in mind that if any

reader does decide to follow any of
these recipes, please read the
recipe in its entirety before cooking!
(you don’t have to read all of the notes but you
totally should :) )

Mama’s Mac-n-Cheese: Difficulty: Easy Cook Time: 15 Mins

Ingredients1:
1/2 pound of noodles2
Velveeta Original Melting Cheese3
2/3 cup milk
Salt to taste

Final Product should look similar to this!

Instructions:
1. Prepare your pasta according to your boxes instructions
(make sure to add salt to the water!)
2. While pasta is cooking, add milk and cheese to a medium-sized
sauce pan. Place the stovetop on low and slowly melt the
cheese in the pan. It’s important to keep stirring the cheese
sauce to avoid burning!
3. Once pasta and sauce are done, combine together and enjoy!

Notes:
1: This recipe makes two servings. If you’re cooking for more than two people, I’d
suggest doubling the quantities of ingredients.
2: The noodles that you choose to cook are entirely up to you. Personally, I’ve
found that this recipe works best with Shells, Penne Rigate, and Rotini.
3: The amount of cheese you use is also up to you. Personally, I used anywhere
from 1/4 to 1/3 of the melting block for every two servings (which is what this
recipe is for)

White Rice: Difficulty: Easy Cook Time: ?? mins.

Ingredients:
2 cups White rice
3 cups Water

Final Product should look similar to this!

Instructions:
1. Rinse your rice with cold water
2. Place your rice in a rice cooker and fill with water. If you don’t have a
rice cooker… get a rice cooker.
3. Seriously, get a rice cooker. They save lives.
4. Turn your rice cooker on.
5. Enjoy!
6. For real, if you came to this page and are leaving because you don’t have
a rice cooker, you need to consider getting one.

Notes:
There’s no notes on this one but I don’t wanna leave so much blank space :(. Enjoy this meme instead:

Seared Chicken Breast: Difficulty: Medium Cook Time: 20 Mins

Ingredients1:
2 Chicken breasts
All-purpose flour
2 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tbsp olive oil
Chicken seasoning2
Salt and pepper to taste

Final Product should look similar to this!

Instructions:
1. Flatten your chicken breast until it no more than one-inch thick.3
2. Season with salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you’d like.
3. Coat breasts in flour. Make sure to move your fingers around to get
flour on all parts of the chicken!
4. Add oil to a saute pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
5. Add chicken and cook until seared on first side (typically 3-5 minutes de-
pending on how hot the skillet is).
6. Flip and cook other side until done (typically 5-6 minutes depending on
how hot skillet was)
7. Place chicken onto cutting board and let rest for 5-10 minutes under-
neath aluminum foil.

Notes:
1: This recipe only makes two chicken breasts (duh). If you’re making more than
two, adjust the quantities accordingly.
2: You can season your chicken with whatever you’d like. I personally love
Creole and Cajun seasonings.

Fried Chicken Breast: Difficulty: Medium Cook Time: 30-45 Mins

Ingredients1:
2 Chicken breasts
1 Large egg
All-purpose flour
Panko Bread Brumbs
Chicken seasoning2

America).
2. Flatten your chicken breast until it no more than one-inch thick.3
3. Season with salt, pepper, and any other seasonings you’d like
4. Coat breasts in flour. Make sure to move your fingers around to get flour on
all parts of the chicken!
5. Beat/scramble the egg into a flat bowl. Spread the bread crumbs across a bak-
ing sheet
6. coat the breasts in the egg, then transfer to the chicken to the bread crumbs.
Coat the chicken evenly4
7. Transfer chicken to oil and cook until golden brown.
8. Once done, drain chicken onto paper towel to soak up excess grease.
9. Enjoy!

Notes:
1: This recipe only makes two chicken breasts (duh). If you’re making more than two, adjust the
quantities accordingly.
2: You can season your chicken with whatever you’d like. I personally love Creole and Cajun
seasonings.
3: You can use whatever you’d like to flatten the chicken breasts. Sometimes, it’s nice to just punch
some chicken.

4: If you like extra crispy chicken, you should coat the chicken twice (dip the chicken back 7
into egg and add another layer of bread crumbs. May require additional eggs)!

9
Fried Chicken Wings: Difficulty: Medium Cook Time: 45-60 Mins

Ingredients:
6 Whole chicken wings (or 12
halved wings)
All-purpose flour
1 quart of frying oil1
Wing Seasoning2
Salt and Pepper to taste

Final Product should look similar to this!

Instructions:
1. Season your wings with salt, pepper, and any other seasoning
that you’d like to use.
2. Preheat the oil to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or 175 Degrees Cel-
sius if you’re not in America)
3. Coat the wings in flour and transfer the wings to the oil. Fry
until crisp and golden brown 3
4. When wings are done, place them on paper towels to soak up
excess grease.
5. Enjoy!4

Notes:
1: Any frying oil works. I personally prefer peanut or vegetable but canola also works.
2: While you can just use salt and pepper, wings are best when seasoned properly. I either
use a homemade spice blend, Creole seasoning, or cajun seasoning.
3: Be careful of hot oil! Wings will take anywhere from 6-9 minutes depending on the
temperature of the oil.
4: This recipe makes wings that are great with dipping and coating sauces! Feel free to
adapt the wings using whatever sauces you’d like!

2 Cups Chicken Broth
1/4 pound Mushrooms
Handful Scallions
1.5 Tbsp Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp Mirin
1 Tbsp Garlic
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 Tbsp Unsalted Butter

1. Make the eggs according to the recipe on page INSERT PAGE HERE.
2. Prepare and cook Chicken based on the instructions listed in the Chicken
Breast section (pages INSERT PAGES HERE).1
3. Cut scallions and mushrooms into thin slices
4. Saute Mushrooms in a saute Pan until tender (4-5 minutes) using the
butter. Add garlic and continue sauteing for an additional 45 seconds.2
5. Add Mushrooms, garlic, chicken broth, and Mirin to a small sauce pan
and bring to a simmer.
6. Combine all of the ingredients, leading with the noodles first.3
7. Enjoy while it’s Hot!4

Notes:
1: I personally prefer using fried chicken, but this recipe can use any kind of chicken meat
(and even different proteins such as steak).
2: If you enjoy spicy food, I’d recommend adding a pinch of red pepper flakes with the
garlic to add some heat to the dish
3: It’s important to lead with the noodles to ensure that ensure that the toppings are,
well, toppings.
4: It’s important to eat this dish while it’s hot. If it isn’t eaten quickly, the noodles
can become soggy. 10

Homemade Pizza: Difficulty: Hard Cook Time: 60 Mins

Ingredients1:
1 pack Pizza Dough Mix2
All-purpose flour
1/2 pound Mozzarella Cheese
1 can/jar of pizza sauce
1 pound mild Italian sausage
1/4 white onion, diced
1/2 Green pepper, diced
1/2 pound mushrooms
Italian Seasoning
Salt and Pepper to taste
Final Product should look similar to this!

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or 175 Degrees Celsius if you’re not in
America)
2. Prepare the pizza dough according to the instructions provided, if needed
3. Place Italian sausage and onion in a medium saute pan over medium-high heat and
cook until meat is browned. Season meat halfway through cooking with salt,
pepper, and Italian seasoning. Strain meat but retain the oil.
4. Spread a teaspoon of oil (from the meat) across a medium-sized baking sheet and
spread a layer of flour across the sheet.
5. Once dough is risen, spread dough across baking sheet3
6. Spread pizza sauce across dough, followed by the Italian sausage, then cheese
7. Spread toppings across the cheese evenly
8. Place in oven for 20-25 Minutes or until crust is golden brown (depends on your
oven)

Notes:
1: This recipe makes what me and my family would enjoy on a pizza. Feel free to substitute,
add, or subtract any toppings that you’d like!
2: When it comes to the pizza dough, I personally use Chey Boyardee’s Pizza mix (which
typically comes with pizza sauce!). You can make the dough mix from scratch or even use a
pre-cooked pizza dough if you’re not inclined to spread the dough.
3. Trust me when I write this: Spreading pizza dough is not easy! It takes time, patience,
and practice to be able to get a pizza crust all the way the edges of a pan/baking
sheet. Don’t be afraid to just shape the dough as easily as possible and cook it as 11
is!

Breakfast Sandwiches: Difficulty: Easy Cook Time: 20 Mins

Ingredients1:
2 Slices of toast
2 Large eggs
3 Slices of Thick Cut bacon2
Tomato, thinly sliced
Lettuce
1 cup Mayonnaise
2-3 tbsp Balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp Black pepper
Salt and pepper to taste
Final Product should look similar to this!

Instructions:
1. Place bacon into an oven that was preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
(or 175 Degrees Celsius if you’re not in America). Cook until preferred
doneness. Place on paper towels when done to drain excess grease.3
2. Combine mayo, balsamic vinegar, and black pepper in a bowl.
3. Prepare eggs however you’d like. I prefer scrambled but any method
works.
4. Toast bread to your liking.
5. Spread the balsamic mayo across the bread. Don’t be afraid to use a lot!
6. Place ingredients on toast in the following order: lettuce, eggs, tomato,
bacon.4
7. Enjoy!

Notes:
1: This recipe only makes one sandwich. For each additional sandwich, adjust
quantities accordingly.
2: Please use thick cut bacon! It makes a huge difference.
3: Personally, I enjoy my bacon right in the middle between limp and crispy.
4: It’s important to place lettuce before the other ingredients as it will soak up
and liquid and keep your toast from getting soggy!

Ramen Eggs (Ajitsuke Tamago): Difficulty: Hard3 Cook Time: 10 Mins

Ingredients1:
5 large eggs
1 cup soy sauce
1 cup mirin
1 cup water
1/2 tsp Red cayenne pepper
1 tsp Garlic power

Final Product should look similar to this!

Instructions:
1. Boil water in a medium sauce pan2
2. Add eggs. Cook for exactly 6 minutes and 45 seconds!
3. While eggs are cooking, prepare a bowl filled with ice and water.
4. Once eggs are done, immediately transfer them to the ice bath. Let them
sit for at least 3 minutes.
5. While eggs are sitting, combing soy sauce, mirin, water, and spices in a
container.
6. Using the back of a spoon or the back edge of a butter knife, slowly
crack and carefully peel the eggshell off of the egg.
7. Repeat with remaining eggs and transfer to marinade.
8. Let eggs marinate for at least two hours and for up to two days.

Notes:
1: This recipe makes 5 ramen eggs, which can produce up to ten bowls of ramen.
You can use less or more eggs, but the marinade should remain the same.
2: This is just a neat trick I've learned, but if you add a tablespoon of rice vinegar
to the water while bringing it to a boil, I’ve found that it makes the eggs much
easier to peel!
3: This recipe is considered difficult because it is very easy it mistime the cooking
of the eggs. A difference in 15 seconds cooking time can completely alter
the texture of the egg. 14

Thank You
Once again, thank you for reading
this. I wanted to include more
recipes but I honestly started
running out of things that I cook
regularly. I wanted to add much
more complicated things such as
Surf-n-Turf and sushi, but I was
afraid that things would get too
complex for inexperienced home
cooks.

To my Instructor:
It was a wonderful semester and I enjoyed
learning from you. This course allowed me
to express myself freely in its projects
and I truly appreciate it. I wish you the best
of luck in life and hope to learn from you
again! 15
