Jason Hill used to work in a bank in the centre of London.

weekday. It was really awful and he wanted to become
more independent. One day, Jason was on his way to
work when he saw an advertisement in a newspaper
for non-speaking parts in a film. 2 Later that
day, he called the number from the advertisement
and said that he was interested in the job. He was
invited to an audition and was given a small part
in the film. He enjoyed the experience of appearing
in the film so much that he decided that he wanted
to become an actor.
On his 30th birthday, Jason made a life-changing
decision. 3 He felt a little worried and
insecure, but he had no doubt that this was the right
decision for him. In October 2006, he began his
drama course at a drama college in Scotland.
The course was difficult and there were times when
he thought about dropping out, but he studied hard
and finally passed the course in June 2008. 4
In December 2008, he was watching television at home
when the telephone rang. It was a well-known American
film director. He asked Jason if he wanted a part in his
new film. Jason was astonished. He accepted the offer,
moved house and is now living in California. 5
