remit the whole or any part of any punishment irnposed on any person fcir

grant remission for certain categories of Prisoners;

Republic ofTanzania, being satisfied that there are sufficient reasons to
warrant the exercise of powers vested in me under Article a5(lXd) of
the Constitution in respect of prisoners held for various offences and
