I. PRELIMINARIES
PPRAYER
NATIONALISTIC SONG
ENERGIZER
The opening prayer was led by Carol G. Escorel, the HRPTA President of Grade 1, St. Cecilia, followed by the nationalistic
song and energizer. About 40 % of parents were present. The meeting begins at 10:15 a.m.
1. The teacher discussed when the parents should pick up their children, and the parents agreed on 10:10
a.m.
2. After we agreed about the time of pick-up for our children, Sir Robert discussed with us the subjects of
the second quarter.
3. The grading system gives us an idea of where to focus as parents, and Sir Robert told us that it is the
basis of the children’s grade.
4. Reading and writing are the foundations of learning, which is why teacher Robert emphasizes those
children can be motivated to read and write at home with the help of us, the parents. He said that the
reading materials that he gives every week are essential for them to become readers.
5. We decided that if a child is absent for three consecutive days, it is equivalent to missing one day, and
this, of course, will affect our children's performance.
6. Good behaviour starts at home. The teacher said that most of the children are very active to the point
that they are not aware that they hurt their classmates and cause disruption in classes.
7. The HRPTA officers and parents initiate helping the teacher with the room partition.
8. Teacher Robert, give us the floor to raise our concerns and suggestions.
9. Meeting end around 10:39am
