CONVERGENCE FORUM
WHAT IS THE RATIONALE OF THE
FORUM?

 BUB envisioned a convergence of


CSOs that is broad-based, strong,
capable and will actively continue
to engage with government
 And this will happen only if the CSOs
unite and work together as one
 Thus, the conduct of BUB CSO
Convergence Forum was conceived
WHAT ARE THE OBJECTIVES OF THE
FORUM?

 In particular, it aims to:


• Review the status of BUB implementation, thresh
out problems and recommend ways to address
them
• Come up with a mechanism to strengthen
collaboration of different organizations at the
local level
• Generate an action plan to preserve and
continue the government’s reform program such
as the BuB process
HOW WILL IT BE CONDUCTED?
1. The CM, C/MLGOO, DSWD Area Coordinator
(KC/CCT) and LPRAT CSO Vice-Chair shall meet to
discuss the ff:

• Participants
• Venue
• Logistics
• Sending of invitations
• Documentation (esp the highlights)
• Etc.

2. The LPRAT Co-Chair shall serve as convenor of the


forum
WHAT ARE THE CONCERNS THAT SHALL BE
DISCUSSED?

1. Status of BuB implementation

2. How to strengthen CSO convergence

3. How to sustain the BUB and other


governance reforms beyond 2016
