1. How did Makati City realize its vision-mission?

- Makati City realize it vision-mission through the implementation of Makati

ISSP – Makati Information Systems Strategic Plan that seeks direct the

implementation and application of ICT to various operating and

administrative components in Makati City.

2. What is your reaction on the Information System Strategic Plan of Makati?

- The Makati ISSP is a very beneficial as it becomes the backbone of the

implementation of their Vision and Mission and systematize its application as

well.

3. With the major information systems in Makati would you think that Makati City

government can have better operations, can achieve its goal, can become a techno

city?

- Yes. Clearly their government system and their systematize approach is

evident of their ICT Implementation. For instance, their ICT Ready buildings,

ICT Parks and Buildings, and their BOMS (Barangay Operations and

Monitoring System).
4. With all the information systems, would you think that there is an efficient ICT

development and implementation?

- I believe Yes, since these ICT had been revolutionized and there is already a

lot of inventions that also streamlines ICT development to make it more

efficient and accessible and user friendly.

5. Do you believe that with ICT and IS, the people of Makati (in general the larger

society) will achieve: “putting citizens online, not in-line”?

- Yes, I believe so since ICT is the most powerful thing we have on this 21 st

century and Makati City had been equipped with this so this is very feasibly

and achievable to say however I think that it will not always be 100% still

some people would always choose to stay in line despite having the

opportunity online.

6. Would you think that the city government can sustain the implementation of the

different information system despite the need of more finances?

– Of course, since this is a good investment and could attract more inventors and

as a result, they can income that can be used to sustain their implementation of

ICT.

7. The city has data center to have central access, with a backup system located

somewhere else, do you think that the system will not be hacked or infiltrated by

malicious software?
- I think this is also the problem or risk that they are facing but since ICT is

powerful, they can have a solution about this.

8. What information system discussed above would you like the most?

- Personally, I prefer the City Command, Control and Communication Center

since it will streamline administrative operations smoothly in day-to-day

operations.

9. Do you believe that the city will someday make every citizen connected to the
Makati City Information System

- Yes. I Believe so because they already implemented computer based literacy


program that helps each of its citizen understand the use of computer so that
they can also make use of the existing ICT programs for them.

10. IfyouarethechiefexecutiveofMakati,whatelsewillyoudotoimproveitsICTimpleme
ntation?

-I think there is always space for development, and the usage and
communication of the significance of this IS to citizens is the most crucial thing a
chief executive would do. As a result of its convenience, the adoption of this
information system greatly benefits citizens.
