About Spektra Academy Graduate Program

Spektra Academy graduate program is our annual internship and enablement program for last semester
students aiming to start career in cloud technologies. Every year, we hire interns and train them on
Microsoft Azure and other cloud platforms including AWS & GCP.

Upon completion, Interns are provided opportunity to participate in interviews for a permanent position
at Spektra Systems. Performance during internship is a key criterion for selection.

Schedule:

 Internship Period: TBD

 Duration: 8 Hours daily, 5 days a week. (40 Work hours every week)

Eligibility:

You should be curios to learn, along with complying following eligibility requirements.

 Students in engineering education (B.Tech/MTech/BCA/BSc/MCA similar) courses who are in

their last semester. You must be completing your education by July 2023.
 Must be from Computer engineering/IT related branches.
 You must be willing to commit for 40 work Hours a week for the specified duration.
 You must have your own laptop and a solid internet connection.
 You should not have any exam backlog.
  You are looking at starting your IT career in June-July 2023 time frame. Students planning for
higher studies are not eligible as the program is designed to prepare students for employment
right after internship.

What will you be learning:

Depending on your internship application, interviews, and current skillset, you’d be assigned to one of
the below groups.
 Software Development Engineer Path
o Includes training on Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, C#, AngularJS & SQL.
 Test Engineer Path
o You’ll get to learn Azure Fundamentals, Testing principals and technologies such as
Selenium, Azure DevOps etc.
 Cloud Engineer Path
o You will get to learn one of the cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure/AWS/GCP) in deep
including Cloud Infrastructure, Automation using Scripting and deployment templates
such as ARM and Cloud Formation.

Once you start, you’ll be provided monthly plan which includes.

- Training Plan
- Assessments & Presentations
- Hands-on Access to Cloud Subscriptions
- Opportunity to work on real production projects with Spektra Systems.

How much will it cost?

Zero.

Spektra Systems is not a training company and do not charge interns for any training cost. Instead, once
an intern starts contributing to real production projects, the company may pay a stipend per month,
with a maximum of INR 10,000 per month.
Please note that stipend is only paid once an intern is active in production and is contributing towards
real projects on daily basis. This typically happens after completing 2 months of internship and is based
on your performance during internship, performance on production projects and results of assessments
through the period.

What after Internship?

Our goal for internship is to train students and offer employment with Spektra Systems, however both
parties (Intern and Spektra) can terminate the internship contract at any point with 10 days’ notice or
at the end of stipulated period.

At the end of internship, full time employment opportunities are provided for interns based on their
performance during the internship along with any other assessment/interviews as conducted.

Development Engineer Trainee

Spektra Systems is seeking to hire development trainees who possesses a passion for solving problems and
for emerging technologies. This is a technical role responsible for analyzing, documenting, creating,
testing, and delivering solutions in a .Net-centric environment. You likely have a home lab where you play
with new tech and keep on developing new stuff based on emerging technologies. You love driving
technology solutions such as Cloud, Web API’s, Web Applications .NET, databases etc. You should be a
fresh graduate/ postgraduate with good communication skills and passion for at least one area in software
technologies (Development/ QA/Design/ Deployment) You will focus on learning about the software
development practices and can expect to gain valuable insight that can further your interest in your
chosen career field., Technologies: You will be working on one or more technologies listed below. Itis not
required to have skills around these technologies for the interview process, however it may help. Expertise
on C# .NET Stack development Developing and Consuming RESTAPI’s Microsoft SQL Web Applications
development SCM jQuery AngularJS Azure Development experience with Visual Studio Online/Visual
Studio Team Service/Git, JSON, Build and Release Azure PaaS technologies

Intern - Cloud Engineer

Experience: Freshers
Work Timings: Rotational Shift

Internship Scope: Intern to work on Cloud Computing:

 To learn & develop, implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-based solutions in collaboration with
our team.
 Automation on Cloud
 Upskill on Cloud, DevOps, Big Data, AI and ML technologies
 Researching and designing Cloud POCs
 Working on deploying and debugging cloud solutions,
 Understanding & work on the concept of the security of the cloud infrastructure.

Pre-requisites:

 Understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.

 Good networking Skills Basic Programming and scripting Knowledge like Python, Power shell and
Bash.
 Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle and Development Practices.
 Degree in computer science or a similar field.
 Azure certifications preferred.
 Troubleshooting and analytical skills.
 Good communication and collaboration skills.
 Flexible to work in different shifts.

Test Engineer – Trainee

Responsibilities:

 Understand and analyze the requirements. Read all the documents and decide what needs to be
tested.
 Prepare and maintain test case repositories on Azure DevOps
 Document scenarios and test cases for the change request or application
 Prepare Test Cases and Test Data for the testing
 Execute test cases as required in the project
 Record test activities and results.
 Provide mandatory information of a defect to developers to fix it
 Defect reporting and tracking until closure
 Carry out regression testing whenever changes are made to the code
 Create and Execute automation suite for regression cycles as required
 Work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction

Requirements

 Manual testing (Primary), Automation Testing (Secondary)

 Knowledge on STLC
  Attention to detail and Good analytical power
 Good knowledge of SQL Server, MS SQL.
 Query writing skills need to be great.
 Ability to document and troubleshoot errors

Mode of Training/Internships:

Virtual, via Microsoft Teams. Spektra is a fully remote work from home company at the moment and we
do not plan to open our offices anytime soon. Spektra will provide licensed Teams account for everyone
and it shall remain the primary collaboration platform.

Selection for internship will be based on:

Typically, you would be notified with results within a week of your first interview.

FAQ

1. Do we need to pay anything for the internship?

A: No, you do not need to pay anything, instead you may be eligible for stipend based on
guidelines defined above.

2. What will we be trained on?

A: Depending on your internship career path, you will be assigned to one of the batches. Please
refer to internship path and link to job descriptions shared above.

3. Is a job guaranteed at Spektra Systems after internship?

A: No, but you will be provided opportunity to apply for the permanent positions based on your
performance during internship.

4. I plan to go for higher studies, Can I still do internship?

A: Spektra Academy Graduate internship program is designed for students looking for starting
their career after graduation in cloud computing industry. We do not accept students for
internship who do not plan to start working after graduation.

5. When will I get stipend?

 A: Stipend is an optional perk of internship to reward students who are contributing towards
active production projects. Based on your internship performance during initial period, you may
be given this opportunity. There is no guaranteed stipend attached to the internship.

6. How many leaves can I take during internship? What if I have exams?
A: 2 leaves per month is granted as part of program. Typically, internship is for last semester
students where they aren’t any exam or there’s only one or two exam/project work. Students
are expected to plan this out and notify in advance.
