SECTION: 1-B PSYCHOLOGY ART APPRECIATION

ART #1:

- If I were to ask, I would say that this painting is beautiful in its own way
because for the artist it is a representation of his/her feelings.
Furthermore, I think that the artist is trying to convey the things that is
going on in his mind, hence, it is visible that everything is in chaos,
thoughts, emotions, and words are overflowing in his mind but he can’t
express it verbally – so instead, he made a masterpiece. At least, this is
how I interpret this art.

ART #2:

- I really like this painting, and yes, it is beautiful. Honestly, I like it because it gives out a really
strong message for the people out there, especially women. Furthermore, this art portrays the
openness of someone, that we shouldn’t be afraid of everybody’s opinion. Moreover, flaws and
all should not be the definition of true beauty, like everyone said, “beauty is in cannot be
defined on someone’s physical attributes.”
ART #3:

- This one is kind a disturbing and weird at first look, but I still love it. Furthermore, I love
paintings with a touch of weirdness into it because it always makes me wonder why would the
artist make such art. In line with this, I think that the meaning of this art relates with the quote
of Heath Ledger when he portrays The Joker, and he quotes, “Introduce a little anarchy. Upset
the established order and everything becomes chaos.” Because in every dire situation we tend
to show our true nature in order to survive, even if it is against our moral codes, hence, it will
always lead to us making the unlikely decision.

ART #4:

- I really think that this art is beautiful, because the details are superb and refined to its fullest.
Furthermore, I think this also relates to a quote of that Heath Ledger, henceforth, saying. “One
of my biggest mistake is thinking people will show the same love I’ve shown them.” It seems
like the lady holding the blade is regretful of what she’s done to the man, hence, this shows
that she has no choice but to do it because it has to be done. Moreover, the guy is very
oblivious on what might happen because he thinks he knows the woman inside and out. Lastly,
the old lady signifies the influences that a person might encounter to have a change of
personality, from good becoming bad because it seems she does not regret what is happening.

ART #5:

- Before ending this activity, I must say that I really liked every painting I saw. Going back, this
painting is quite disturbing but still likeable. I really like it because it contradicts the painting in
no. 4, I have a positive insight with this one. Furthermore, I think that these two are what we
call significant partners in life or lovers in simple word, thus, they are a great illustration of even
in death we would still be together and nothing can keep us apart, like what happened in the
painting maybe they did a sin of some sort to an individual and instead of dying alone they did
this together regardless of the consequences.
