Jeff Bezos is the speaker who is delivering a baccalaureate speech to the graduates
from Princeton University on May 30th, 2010. Even though Jeff Bezos doesn’t have the
proper speaking credentials for this particular topic, he has experience of failure and
success starting his multi million dollar company Amazon, which is the main purpose of
baccalaureate speeches.

It was delivered for the purpose to inspire the graduating class as they enter their new
chapter of life. He telling the story of the time he made his grand mother cry by cleverly
calculating and telling her that smoking had reduced her life by nine years, Jeff shares his
grand fathers advice: ‘one day you will understand that it’s harder to be kind than clever’.
Jeff argues that our gift are easy, they are given after all: On the other hand our choices can
be hard. It is our ability to make the best choices that ultimately defines the happiness amd
success we create in our lives and other for those around us.

I’m so inspired about the story of Jeff Bezos espcially his message delivers that we need to
avoid being too impressed by our own talents at the expense of the quality of choices we
make. The important choices we make in life aren’t just about intergrity and on kindness.
We also talks of courage, of conviction and about the power of choosing to pursue our
dreams.

He is very ubderstanding, engaging through personal examples, and persuasive throughout

his speech. Bezos made a lot of eye contactwith the audience with a limit on his facial
expressions and movement behind the podium. Through his very professional attitude and
posture his speech is made more memorable and easier to believe.

After all is said and then, When we looked back on our lives, in the end all we are, all we
have created is a reflection of our choices.
