CERTIFICATION

1.0 PURPOSE: Certification is being given to an employee set by the Nursing


Service Standards with the desire to leave the health facility. The purpose of giving
the credential certificate is to both protect the public and to guarantee that a person
who holds the credential has met a minimum standard for professional and ethical
standards.

2.0 SCOPE: This policy covers the scope of practice, procedures, actions, and
processes of the entire Nursing Service Department.

3.0 POLICY STATEMENT

The Nursing Service Department is a service oriented department committed to


provide safe, individualized, comprehensive, and quality nursing care where nursing
personnel are clinically competent working under a therapeutic environment.

It is the policy of Nursing Service Department to ensure that all patients complain
about the care and treatment they receive are addressed promptly and given serious
considerations.

Dr. Jorge P. Royeca Hospital Nursing Service Department is committed to providing


the highest quality care and treatment for patients while respecting their dignity and
individuality. We continue to review our services to ensure that these are true reflections of
patient’s views and needs. To do this, we have a system in place to ensure that lessons are
learned, that complaints are followed up constructively, and that our services are adapted
when things go wrong, or we have identified that services could be improved.

incident report in the absence of the chief nurse
6.4 CHIEF NURSE- person responsible in the approval of the incident report
6.5 DEPARTMENT HEAD- person responsible in the overall approval of the
cited incident report.
