EVENT REPORT

The Sports Committee has successfully organised and completed three sporting events as of
20th November, 2022 – namely RGNUL Cricket League, RGNUL Volleyball League and
RGNUL Football League.

• RGNUL Cricket League (“RCL”)

Matches of RCL started right after the Diwali break, in November and the final match was
played between IV Year and V Year where the performances of Amal Tripthi, Prerak
Fouzdar, Anagh Tiwari, and Agam Bansal led V Year to an easy win by 8 wickets even after
the IV Year being represented by the MVP and Best Batsmen of the Tournament, Abhigya
Singh and Best Bowler of the Tournament, Manish Chaurasia.

• RGNUL Volleyball League (“RVL”)

9 teams across two pools participated in the event over the course of last few weeks where the
final match was played between the I Year and the V Year after the unexpected loss of Hitarth
Dixit led IV Year in the semis, due to his injury. Eventually, Shubham Tanwar led final year
defeated the rookies in straight sets. The Committee also appreciates the performances of
Jagdishwar Kutiyal, Sakshi Srivastav, Shubhaangi Gandhi, Kartikeya Gautam, Vishnu
Dhangal, Rajdeep Singh, Utkarsh Mina, and Surya Bhoria amongst others.

• RGNUL Football League (“RFL”)

One of the most exciting events this year was Football in furtherance of the pre-existing
rivalries between the II & III Year, and IV & V Year. It became even-more interesting after
the numerous debuts in the University team from the I Year’s lot, in Virudhaka. The final match
was played yet again between the IV and the V Year on 16th November. An exceptional
performance by the Golden Boot winner, Antariksh Anant and Captain/Coach Samewanhi
Bamon secured another gold medal for the final year after a score of 3-2. Contribution of Dr.
Anand Pawar was notable in the defence line which helped the winning team to get through
the league stage. IV Year will hope to come back stronger next season after an exemplary
performance of Himanshu Bhat, Yaksh Sevda, Anany Raj Singh and their star-performer
across sports Abhigya Singh, who also happens to be the Golden Glove winner. Our
