Charles Robert Darwin
Charles Robert Darwin was born in Shrewsbury ,
England on February 12, 1809. He came from a
wealthy family and never had to work. He studied
medicine and theology. In 1931 he graduated from
university Cambridge with a degree of theology.
He began a career as a scientist quite by chance. On
December 27, 1831, 22 years old Charles Darwin join
the crew of the HMS Beagle as a Naturalist. The five
years expedition collected hydrographic, geologic, and
meteorologic data from South America and many other
regions around the world. Darwin’s own obsercation
on this voyage led to thus theory of natural selection
Charles Darwin was greatly influenced by the geologist
Adam Sedgwick and naturalist John Henslow in his
development of the theory of natural selection, whisch
was to become the foundation concept supporting the
theory of evolution. Darwin’s theory holds that
environmental effects lead to varying degrees of
reproductive success in individuals and groups of
organisms. Natural selection tends to promote
adaptation in organism when necessary for survival.
This revolutionary theory was published in 1859 in
Drwin’s now famous ON the Origin of Species by
Means of Natural Selection.

Born into a family of doctors in Kampung Ketapang,
Kwitang Barat, Jakarta. Abdulrachman Saleh also
became a doctor. After finishing MULO, he studied at
STOVIA. While still a students, he was appointed
assistant at the laboratory of physiology. Graduating
from STOVIA, Abdulrachman Saleh continued his
work at the lab while having his own medical practice.
Abdulrachman Saleh’s role in medicine was
significant. He became a lecturer in Jakarta, Surabaya,
Malang and Klaten. For his meritorious service in
medicine, specifically in physiology, in 1958, the
University of Indonesia bestowed him the titke of
Bapak Ilmu Faal. (father of physiology).
Abdulrachman Saleh was a man of many interest. He
and Indonesia Muda. He was also a member of

aeroclub, and co-founded the Verenigde Ooster Radio
Omroep (VORO), an organization of broadcasters. It
was he who established the Voice of Free Indonesia.

Kaka was born in Brazilia. From age 4 to 7, his family
live in Cuiaba, following his father, a civil engineer. At
age 7, the family moved to the city of Sao Paulo, in the
neighbourhood of Morumbi, near the stadium of Sao
Paulo FC. As FIFA says, “Kaka fails to fit the
Brazilian stereotype of the kids from the pavela who
first olayed the game in the street with a ball made
from rags. Coming from comfortable and cultured
family, Kaka kept up his studies as long as they were

enrolling him in the footbal school. At age 8, Kaka was
playing with Sao Paulo FC, where he successeded in
all categories. At age 14, Kaka used to wake up two
hours early, to keep up with his studies. Kaka managed
to conclude the dedicating exclusively to football. In
2006, only 24 years old, Kaka was one of the main
Brazilian players in the world cup. Despite the
abundance of good players, coach coach Carlos
Alberto Prreira aready said that Kaka would start as a
principle. The groups formed by Kaka, Ronaldinho,

by Brazilian media fans.
