This is the report of my survey about the green habit.

I did my survey for eight

respondents and four questions. First question is about how often they recycle
paper, metal and plastic. Two of eight people always do it for some reasons. They do
it because they believe that recycling helps to save the world and the environment.
Five of eight people sometimes recycle paper, metal and plastic. Sometimes they do
it for some reason. They think every dump that available only some pieces of it that
they can recycle it because they still in learning about recycling. Even tough some
dumps are still useful and they want to minimalize trash. Recycling can reduce
waste on the environment, reduce waste in the dump yard, reduce global warming,
and add value to the goods. Only one of eight people that never recycle paper, metal
and plastic because he does not understand how to recycle plastic into materials or
crafts.

Second question is about how often they use their own shopping bag. Two of eight
people always use their own shopping bag. Their reasons is because the government
program in their area and in every mini market is no longer provided with plastic
bags, although in some mini markets there are still those that provide plastic bags.
Not only that, they also want to save their money and sometimes store employee
give some discount for someone who use their shopping bag. Five of eight people
sometimes use their own shopping bag. Their reasons is sometimes they forgot to
bring it, use the shopping bag if they will buy many things in the shop, and lack of
public awareness about the important of reducing plastic usage in daily life. Only
one of eight people that never use his shopping bag. He did not like to use the
shopping bag because he feels inconvenient if he use it.

Third question is about how often they use public transport instead of car. Two of
eight people always do it. The reasons is he does not have a car and the cost of
using public transport is very cheap. Five of eight people sometimes use public
transport for some reasons. Their opinion is variated, like riding motorcycle or
personal transportation is faster and more comfortable than using public
transportation, if everyone at home is busy or they in a tight position they will use
public transportation. Not only that, they think using public transportation save
some money and fuel than use their own vehicles. Only one of eight people that
never use public transportation due to time issues. He does not like waiting for
public transportation because it is waste his time.

Fourth question is about how often they ride a bicycle to get around. Two of eight
people always use it. Their reasons is they like it and make their bodies healthier.
Four of eight people sometimes ride a bicycle to get around. They have many
different reasons like when they have a free time, they will do it. They think ride a
bicycle can save some of fuel and reduce air pollutant. Some of them prefer to
walk or ride a motorcycle rather than ride a bicycle.

I sum, I think we have many ways to help our planet from some dangerous disaster
such as global warming. For some examples is like on the question above. We can
recycle paper, metal and plastic, use our own shopping bag, use public transport
instead of personal transportation, and ride a bicycle to get around. With this
survey now we know that only few of people have awareness about the important
of saving the planet. Most people still did not consistent enough to do it even
some of them like did not care about this planet. I think this make me concern
about the future of our home. I hope the number of people who contributed to
saving the planet is increasing day by day and make our home become more
comfortable for us and our next generation.
