Introdução slide 1

Today the world population depends on nonrenewable energy resources. With

the constantly growing demand for energy, natural gas and oil get used up and
cannot replenish themselves.
Aside from limited supply, heavy reliance on fossil fuels causes planetary-scale
damage. Sea levels are rising. Heat-trapping carbon dioxide increased the
warming effect. The only way to stop this is to start the transition to renewable
energy now.

Slide 2

It is energy that comes from replenishable natural resources. Renewable

resources do not run out, they are cost-efficient and renew faster than they are
consumed. .
Slide 3
Natural resources are resources that exist without any actions of humankind. The
sunlight, wind, thermal energy, moving water, and organic materials are
examples.
Slide 4
And let’s see 4 of the exemples i gave above:
Solar energy is the radiation from the Sun capable of producing heat, causing
chemical reactions, or generating electricity. The total amount of solar energy
received on Earth is more than the world's current and anticipated energy
requirements. Solar energy has the potential to satisfy all future energy needs.

The wind is a clean, free, and readily available renewable energy source. Each
day, around the world, wind turbines are capturing the wind’s power and
converting it to electricity. Wind power generation plays an increasingly
important role in the way we power our world – in a clean, sustainable manner.

Slide 5

Water energy is energy derived from the power of water, most often its motion.
Energy sources using water have been around for thousands of years in the
form of water clocks and waterwheels. A more recent innovation has been
hydroelectricity, or the electricity produced by the flow of water over dams.

Geothermal energy is a renewable energy source because heat is continuously

produced inside the earth. People use geothermal heat for bathing, to heat
buildings, and to generate electricity.

Slide 6
In this image we can see the percentage of resources available to us. Slide 7
Renewable energy resources have a big potential to cover people’s energy needs
on a global scale, unlike fossil fuels, they are available in abundance and
generate minimal to no emissions.
The burning of fossil fuels caused a lot of environmental problems—from carbon
dioxide emissions to ocean acidification.
So here are 2 benefits that green energy brings for climate, human well-being,
and economy

Renewable energy promotes self-sufficiency and reduces a country’s dependence

on foreign fuel. The country can increase economically.

Unlike fossil fuels, renewable energy doesn’t emit air pollutants. This positively
influences health and quality of life.

Slide 8

So what’s the conclusion of renewable energy? Transitioning to renewable

energy resources might be challenging and expensive
