Mucho gusto Cristian, trabajo en la Cooperativa de Mejoramiento Genético Forestal que se encuentra en facultad de
Ciencias Forestales de la Universidad Austral de Chile y tú ¿a qué te dedicas?

Yo soy Trabajador Social, y desde el año 2020 estoy a cargo del departamento de Bienestar Estudiantil de la DAE UACh.

Que interesante, ambos trabajamos en la misma Universidad.

¿Cómo estuvo tu día Cristopher?

Mi día estuvo bien, por mi trabajo tengo que salir mucho a terreno fuera de Valdivia lo que es muy agotador.

Que entretenido. Yo me lo paso en la oficina, aunque siempre lleno de actividad con los estudiantes, en la DAE vemos
los beneficios de los estudiantes y además la vida universitaria. ¿A dónde viajaste hoy?

Me imagino que debe ser agotador. Hoy tuve que ir Panguipulli a ver una plantaciones de raulí, salimos muy temprano
con mis compañeros de oficina pero alcanzamos a volver de día.

Cuéntame, ahora ¿estás en un programa de Magister o Doctorado?

Estoy en el nuevo Mg de Gobierno, gestión y desarrollo Regional del FACEA, comenzó este año y la verdad está muy
interesante.

Recuerdo que en pregrado tenía un profesor de biometría que era de esa Facultad, se llamaba Gastón Vergara, sus
clases eran muy entretenidas.

¿Y cómo fue trabajar en pandemia?

Para mí fue tranquilo, justo antes de pandemia me fui a vivir a la playa con mi esposa y nuestras mascotas, por lo que
aprovechamos mucho el tiempo en familia. ¿tú donde pasaste la pandemia?

Que lindo debe ser vivir en la playa, yo estuve en Valdivia también en familia, fue un tiempo muy bueno igual, mis hijos
son pequeños aun, por lo que aprovechamos mucho el tiempo con ellos.

¿cuántos hijos tienes y de qué edad?

Tengo una parejita… Antonia de 10 años y Pedro de 9… son muy unidos para bien y mal… porque se juntan para hacer
travesuras. ¿y qué te parece volver a la normalidad después de 2 años de pandemia?

Lo extrañaba, de profesión soy Ingeniero Forestal y ahora estoy en Mg de Ciencias mención Bosque y Medio Ambiente,
por lo que estar en pandemia me limitaba mucho para poder ejercer y salir a hacer visitas al bosque, así que valoro que
no tengamos tantas restricciones. ¿tú tienes algún pasatiempo fuera del trabajo?

Por el momento no, el tiempo entre el trabajo, la familia, el magister y las clases de inglés no dejan mucho tiempo, pero
me gusta tocar guitarra lo hacemos a cuando se puede con mis hijos. ¿tú tienes algún pasatiempo?

Es difícil administrar tiempo con el trabajo y la familia. Mi gran pasatiempo es ser Scout me divierte mucho pasar tiempo
con los jovenes y me sirve para liberar el estrés del trabajo y la universidad.

Excelente, mi hija también es scout de la Merced y todos los fines de semana va sin falta, le gusta mucho, por lo que
entiendo.

Se pasa muy bien, mi grupo se llama Dr. Clemente Holzapfel y nos justamos muy cerca de la parroquia La Merced.

Sciences of the Austral University of Chile, and what about you do?

How was your day Christopher?

My day was good, because of my work I have to go out to the field nearValdivia, that’s very exhausting.

But it is fun. I spend all day in the office I am always full of activity with the students, at the DAE we see the
benefits of the students and also university life. Where did you travel today?

Today I went to Panguipulli to see a raulí plantation, we travel very early with my office colleagues but we
managed to get back in the day.

Tell me, now are you in a Master's or Doctorate program?

I am in the new Mg of Government, management and Regional development of the FACEA, it began this year
and the truth it is very interesting.

I remember that in undergraduate I had a biometrics professor who was from that Faculty, his name was Gastón
Vergara, his classes were very entertaining.

And how was it like working in the pandemia?

For me it was calm, just before the pandemia I went to live on the beach with my wife and our pets, so we spent
a realle good family time . Where did you spend the pandemia?

I was also in Valdivia with my family, it was a very good time anyway, my children are still young, so we
spend the most of our time with them.

How many children do you have and how old are they?

I have a couple… Antonia, 10 years old, and Pedro, 9… they are very closed. And what do you think about
going back to normality after 2 years of pandemia?

I missed to have a normal life, by profession I am a Forest Engineer and now I am in Mg of Sciences
mentioning Forest and Environment, so being in a pandemia limited me a lot to be able to exercise and go out to
visit the forest, so I appreciate that we do not have so many restrictions. Do you have some hobby?

Not at the moment, I use my time with work, family, the master's degree and English classes, but I like playing
the guitar, we do it when we can with my children. Do you have any hobbies?

It's hard to manage time with work and family. My great hobby is being a Scout. I have a lot of fun spending
time with young people and it helps me release the stress of work and university.

Excellent, my daughter is also a scout from La Merced and she goes every weekend without fail, she likes it a
lot
