The festivals of Jammu & Kashmir would be very colorful and are very traditional. Almost
every festivals of India will be celebrated in this state and among which the most popular
ones are Baisakhi, Bahu Mela, Chaitre Chaudash, Purmandal Mela, Jhiri Mela, and
Navratra Festival.

 Baisakhi is also said to be the harvesting festival.

 Bahu Mela is celebrated in the month of September to October and is a major festival

 Purmandal Mela is a festival of Purmandal which is located at 39 kms away from

Jammu city and is a very colorful festival.

 Navratra Festival is celebrated in the month of September to October and is very

traditional. This festival is celebrated in the auspicious days of the Navratras and is
very popular in this state.

The most popular dances of Jammu & Kashmir are Ruf Dance, Bachha Nagma Dance,
Dandaras Dance, and Ladishah.
