Payroll Management with Odoo’s Customizable Payroll Software

Salary talks frequently involve a lot of ambiguity. Nobody wants to discuss it. Putting aside
matters of personal and emotional sensitivity, discussing pay computations and wage slips has
traditionally been taboo at work. Payroll talks became less unclear only when tech-driven
businesses like Odoo digitised personnel management systems, despite the fact that employers
and employees throughout the world have long called for more effective payroll management
systems.

Why Odoo?

Odoo’s customizable payroll software brings transparency to the payment management

process by offering a holistic view of salaries from both the company and worker sides.Odoo
has developed into the preferred employee payroll management system for many businesses in
the present day thanks to its tools for tax calculation, automating payments, providing support
and management for employees, and accounting for salary, contract, and project-based
payments and deductions. To assist in determining your resource needs, it also smoothly
interacts with a number of HR programmes used by your business. After reading this post, you
would rethink employing it for your business if you weren't already contemplating it.

Payroll Management With The Odoo Payroll Management System:

Payroll
Go to the Employees tab in your Payroll app by opening it (You can change your
viewing layout here)

1. Using Odoo, How to Check for Expired (Or Near-Expired) Contracts

The "Employees" page in Odoo Payroll enables you to examine a list of all of your
employees. Each employee card includes crucial information regarding the contract
expiration date in the top-right corner. An employment contract that is about to expire
or has already expired will be highlighted in red (giving a slight warning)
there.

2. Using Odoo, how do I view an employee's contract information?

Select Payroll, Employees, Employee Name>, and Contracts from the menu.

An employee's individual profile contains all of their personal data. In addition to an

employee's role, designation, and department of employment, you can view all of their
data on their contract page, including personal documents, attachments to their salary,
status updates of any changes, and contract information (such as the start and end
dates of the contract). These features are similar to those found in incident tracking
software currently on the market.
You’re also allowed to generate a simulation of the payroll and send it over to your
employee to discuss probable conflicts or discrepancies. If you allow the rights, your
employees can make configuration changes to the page.

3. Edit An Employee’s Contract Info On Odoo

1. Contract:

The software's "Employees" Module (the page you're seeing in Fig.1), located in the upper left
corner, makes it simple to access employee contracts. Employee contracts can now be handled
more conveniently and effectively thanks to this page.

2. Payroll System:

To access salary structures, go to Payroll -> Configuration -> Salary.

Before creating an employee's payslip, you can enter their allowances in the Salary Structures
area, including house rent, conveyance, professional taxes, provident fund, and more.

3. Salary Guidelines:

Go to Payroll -> Configuration -> Salary -> Rules to get started.

In the salary rules tab, specify your organization's salary computations and rules. Your base pay,
bonuses, allowances, vouchers, and other calculations may be among them.

4. Payslip

Find Payroll -> Payslips.

Every employee with an active contract receives a payslip automatically from Odoo. These are
produced using the contract information for the employee. The manager or other responsible
person must first approve the creation of employee payslips. (More below on this.)
