WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS LEADER?

Jeffrey Preston Jorgensen, called Jeff Bezos, is an American online entrepreneur,


industrialist, media proprietor, and investor. He is the founder and CEO of Amazon, a
multibillion-dollar technology firm. According to Bloomberg L.P. Bloomberg Billionaires
Index, he is the wealthiest person in the planet. Jeff is believed to be a task-oriented and
transformational leader. For Jeff to be able to travel, he needs to be able to communicateJeff
searched for, and continues to look for, ways to become more inventive in order to alter his
firm. He's a trailblazer who uses imagination to plan and execute outcomes. A relationship is
created to support and service consumers, as well as his long-term ambitions and the
requirements and aspirations of the general public. He has been able to assist his firm develop
and expand through time because to his ability to create and imagine. Aside from that, Jeff has
some of the qualities that make a successful leader.

To begin, Jeff spends a significant amount of time observing his goals. Every invention
in Amazon's timetable includes servicing consumers, which means it will be a part of every
vision, no matter how big or little. Then he expands on his ideas while simplifying
communications for the general audience. Deep thought leads to strong communication, and if
you can't adequately express your point, expect a misstep. Then, despite any challenges or
barriers that may emerge, he adheres to his plans and objectives. Having a defined strategy in
place helps him keep on course when criticism comes his way. Finally, Jeff is always on the
lookout for opportunities to brag about himself. It is important to have the ability to promote a
company or product at all times, but you must practise your delivery.

EARLY LIFE.

Jeff Bezos was born on January 12, 1964, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. His name is
comes from the Spanish word "besos," meaning "kiss." Jackie Gise, Jeff's mother, married at
17 but divorced soon after Jeff's birth. Lawrence Preston Gise, his grandfather, was appointed
manager of the Atomic Energy Commission's western area by the United States Congress
(AEC). After his parents divorced, his mother met Mike Bezos while working at the
Albuquerque Bank. Mike adopted Jeff after Jackie and Mike married in 1968. Christina, Jeff's
half-sister, was born in 1970, and Mark, Jeff's half-brother, was born in 1971. Mike worked as
a petroleum engineer for Exxon after graduated from university of New Mexico, and the family
lived in Houston, Texas.

Mike Bezos was transferred to Florida in 1978, while Jeff's family remain in New
Mexico. Jeff attended Palmetto High School in Miami, Florida, where he won the Silver Knight
competition, which brought children from all over the southern Florida. Jeff was class president
and valedictorian, when he graduated from high school in 1982.

EDUCATION

From fourth to sixth grade, in Houston, Jeff attended River Oaks Elementary School.
He was fascinated by science and technology, so he installed an electrical alarm in his room to
keep his younger siblings out. Jeff attended Miami Palmetto High School after the family
relocated to Miami, Florida. Jeff set his sights on becoming the highest-ranking student in his
class, which necessitated him to take on more assignments and compete in contests. While in
high school, Jeff worked as a short-order line cook at McDonald's during the morning shift.

He attended in the University of Florida's Student Science Training Program. He


graduated from high school as valedictorian, a National Merit Scholar, and the recipient of the
Silver Knight Award in 1982. Jeff informed the audience at his graduation speech said he
dreamed to see the day when mankind would colonise space. "To get all the people in the world
and see it become an enormous national park," he said this in a local newspaper. He received
a 4.2 GPA and a 3.9 GPA from Princeton University in 1986, graduating summa cum laude
with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering degree (B.S.E) in Electrical Engineering and
Computer Science. Jeff was a Phi Beta Kappa member who decide to work instead of going

graduate school. He was a member of the Quadrangle Club, one of Princeton's 11 dining clubs,
while his studies at the university. He also was a member of Tau Beta Pi and served as president
of the Students for the Exploration and Development of Space chapter at Princeton University
(SEDS).

CAREER

By quitting his job to start Amazon.com, an online book bookstore, Jeff took a big risk.
Amazon has subsequently risen to become one of America's top 10 retailers, proving that taking
a risk paid off. Today, Amazon.com sells a wide variety of goods, and Jeff is credited for
shaping the online retail landscape. Jeff Bezos was able to transform his vision into a reality
via hard effort and a hunger for knowledge. Aspiring innovators can find the courage to pursue

Jeff decided to open an online bookstore in late 1993. On July 5, 1994, After developing
the company's business plan while travelling from New York City to Seattle, he resigned his
job at D. E. Shaw and started Amazon in his garage. Jeff Bezos decided to learn how to sell
books on September 22, 1994, two months after establishing Amazon.com and ten months
before the company's launch. So he enrolled in an American Booksellers Association-
sponsored course on how to open a bookshop. In late 1993, Jeff made the decision to open an
online bookstore. After developing the company's business plan while driving from New York
City to Seattle on July 5, 1994, he quit his job at D. E. Shaw and founded Amazon in his garage.
On September 22, 1994, two months after establishing Amazon.com and ten months before the
company's launch, Jeff Bezos decided to learn how to sell books. As a result, he enrolled in a
course published by the American Booksellers Association on how to establish a bookstore.

Jeff founded Blue Origin in the year 2000, an aerospace firm that researches technology
to lower the cost of spaceflight and make it more affordable to paying consumers. The firm
stayed undiscovered for nearly a decade and a half. Jeff welcomed journalists to the company's
headquarters in Kent, Washington, just south of Seattle, in 2016. He sketched an image of a
future in which humanity will colonise space as well as travel to it. He pledged to sell $1 billion
in Amazon stock per year to support Blue Origin in 2007. He unveiled the Blue Origin lunar
lander two years later, as well as the company's suborbital New Shepard rocket, which could
transport people into space for a few minutes.

PERSONAL LIFE

Mac Kenzie Tuttle is someone Jeff has met before. To help pay the expenses and
support her literary career, they both worked at D. E. Shaw, where he was senior vice chairman
and she was an administrative assistant. The pair got engaged and married in 1993 after dating
for three months. Jeff and Mac Kenzie have four children which is three sons and a daughter
from China who was adopted. Mac Kenzie was a key figure in Amazon's early days, assisting
in the creation of the company's first business plan and serving as its first accountant. She
publicly supported the Amazon and her husband, despite her quiet and bookish nature. By
trade, she is a novelist who studied under Toni Morrison at Colombia. Mac Kenzie is a novelist
who studied under Toni Morrison at Princeton University during her college years. Her first
novel, The Testing of Luther Albright, was released in 2005, and her second novel, Traps, was
published in 2013. Jeff and Mac Kenzie will divorce in 2019 after more than 25 years of
marriage.Jeff's Amazon stake was reduced from 16 percent to 12 percent as part of the divorce
settlement, valuing his stake at nearly $110 billion and Mac Kenzie's at more than $37 billion.
Mac Kenzie stated her intention to donate at least half of her wealth to charity.

Shortly after announcing his divorce from Mac Kenzie in January 2019, the National
Enquirer released an 11-page expose of media magnate Jeff Bezos' adulterous romance with
TV presenter Lauren Sanchez. The National Enquirer and its parent company, American Media
Inc., were then investigated by Jeff. In a long Medium article the following month, Jeff claimed
that AMI threatened to publish sexual images if he did not abandon the inquiry. Jeff suggested
in the same post that AMI's actions were linked to the Saudi government. A forensic
investigation of Jeff's phone indicated that it had been hijacked after he received a video
through WhatsApp from Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Sanchez
divorced her spouse back in April of this year. She made her first public appearance with Jeff
at Wimbledon in July.

AWARD AND RECOGNITION

Jeff's first significant honour came in 1999, when he was named Person of the Year by
Time magazine. U.S. News & World Report named him one of America's top leaders in 2008.
Apart from that, in 2008, Jeff received an honorary doctorate in science and technology from
Carnegie Mellon University. Jeff and Gregg Zehr received an Innovation Award from The
Economist in 2011 for their Amazon Kindle. Jeff was voted Entrepreneur of the Year by
Fortune magazine in 2012. He's also a member of the Bilderberg Group, having attended
meetings in St. Moritz, Switzerland, in 2011 and Watford, Hertfordshire, England in 2013. He
served on the Executive Committe of the Business Council in 2011 and 2012. He was a member
of the Business Council's Executive Committee in 2011 and 2012. The Harvard Business
Review named him the best-performing CEO in the world from 2014 to 2018. He has also
appeared on Fortune's list of the world's fifty greatest leaders for three years in a row, topping
the list in 2015.

Jeff was awarded the Heinlein Prize for Advances in Space Commercialization in
September 2016, which he gave to the Students for the Exploration and Development of Space.
Bezos was inducted into the National Academy of Engineering in February 2018 for his
"leadership and invention in space exploration, autonomous systems, and the development of
a commercial pathway for human spaceflight." In March 2018, he received the exciting Buzz
Aldrin Space Exploration Award in recognition of his efforts with Blue Origin at the Explorers
Club's annual dinner. He won the Axel Springer Award for Business Innovation and Social
Responsibility in Germany in 2018. Between 2008 and 2018, Time magazine named him one
of the 100 most important people in the world five times.

Jeff Bezos is widely regarded as the modern world's most effective and successful
leader. Jeff Bezos' extraordinary leadership style and the management efficiency of his

with some predetermined strategies in place. Jeff Bezos is an entrepreneur and philanthropist

credited with being the driving force behind Amazon's overall success.

Jeff has been using a transformational leadership approach to manage his people and
himself in successfully leading the organisation, focusing on self-management, effective
communication, strategic planning, and taking on responsibilities, as well as setting predefined

behind Amazon's overall success. Jeff has been using a transformational leadership approach
