Introduction
The importance of developing soft skills is increased by the fact it is frequently ignored.
Almost everyone at work aspires to be the best version of themselves every day in all facets
of life. Employees complete projects on time and to a high degree because they possess the
requisite competence (Shaturaev, 2022). To perform at one's peak, one must constantly
improve their skill set. Many things, including a person's work environment, objectives, and
physical health, might affect how effective it performs. Therefore, to attain one's goals and
enhance one's quality of life, one must utilise one's skills, abilities, and talents (Raghu and
Johannes, 2022). Some people aren't aware that some habits, like how to treat others or
control their anger, are learned, either because they were never shown how to do it or because
they never learned it themselves (Portny and Portny, 2022). When employing new
employees, employers place the highest emphasis on a person's work ethic. The trait is
frequently displayed by people who work hard to advance personally and professionally. It
simplifies establishing systematic procedures, accomplishing desired results, and clearing the
decks (Benzon et al., 2022). It takes more than just intriguing information to keep people
interested; it also needs to be able to group and rate jobs according to usefulness. As a result,
people are motivated to work hard and think critically. The individual's professional
development is the culmination of these elements (Shim, 2022). It also examines the
effectiveness as a person, highlighting the areas of strength and need for development using a
framework for self-improvement.

Task 1 – Case Study Review

The CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, is a prime example of a successful leader. He is
highly recognised for his involvement in the development of Facebook and for launching
Meta Platforms, the company in charge of Facebook. As Chairman and CEO of the company,
he holds most of the stock. When Facebook was established in February 2004 at Harvard
College, Eduardo Saverin lived with Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris
Hughes. The website was initially restricted to a select few college campuses. But it quickly
gained popularity; by 2012, it had a billion members.

Zuckerberg has constantly been included among the top 100 most influential people in the
world by Time magazine since 2008. He received the 2010 "Person of the Year" award. Mark
Elliot Zuckerberg was born in White Plains, New York, on May 14, 1984. His mother, Dr
Karen Zuckerberg, is a therapist, and his father, Dr Edward Zuckerberg, is a dentist. He was
brought up in a Reform Jewish home in Dobbs Ferry, New York, alongside his three sisters.
His forefathers came from various European nations, such as Poland, Germany, and
Austria. He switched to Phillips Exeter Academy after his final year. In fencing, he
commanded his team as captain.

In January 2004, a year following Facebook's debut, Zuckerberg started developing the code
for the website. On February 4, 2004, Mark Zuckerberg, Eduardo Saverin, Andrew
McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes, four of his undergraduate roommates,
launched Facebook. Zuckerberg graduated in 2002 from the prestigious prep school Phillips
Exeter Academy. The institution might have influenced Facebook in its early years. The
Photo Address Book, which the business published for students at private institutions and
which they branded "The Facebook," allowed them to post details about their schools, the
names of their friends, and contact information.

Three Harvard seniors called Cameron Winklevoss, Tyler Winklevoss, and Divya Narendra
alleged that Facebook inventor Mark Zuckerberg had misled them into thinking he would
help them establish the social network on October 6, 2006, six days after the launch of
HarvardConnection.com. They informed The Harvard Crimson of their discoveries, and after
hearing from all three of them, the newspaper started an inquiry. Zuckerberg broke into the
email accounts of two editors to stop the piece's publication.

On December 11, 2014, at the company's Menlo Park, California, headquarters, Zuckerberg
answered live questions from audience members. In June 2016, Business Insider named
Zuckerberg one of the "Top 10 Business Visionaries Creating Value for the World," along
with Sal Khan and Elon Musk, for having "pledged to give away 99% of their wealth." He
added, "I'm here at a public session to learn how to serve the community better."

On May 25, 2017, at Harvard University's 366th commencement ceremony, Facebook CEO
Mark Zuckerberg delivered the commencement address and was awarded an honorary
degree. Additionally, he stated that the business would start implementing end-to-end
encryption in January 2019 on the popular social media sites Facebook, Instagram, and
WhatsApp.

Theoretical frameworks

Covey's 7 Habits
Dr Stephen R. Covey outlines the concepts he thinks are essential to raising happiness, well-
being, and longevity in his book "The seven Habits of Highly Effective People." The idea
could be applied to boost one's productivity and self-motivation. According to Covey, the
indicator proves the initial habit is there. The framework urges people to take control of their
lives and protect themselves from harmful influences. Zuckerberg has contributed to the
Facebook headquarters being a nice workplace by being approachable and courteous to his
staff. It served as motivation for everyone in the business, including Zuckerberg. The second
habit is always to have well-defined goals. According to Zuckerberg, the idea for Facebook
sprang from his predictions of how future generations would employ scientific and technical
advancements. Both users profited from the creation of Facebook. The third habit states that
employees need to be able to prioritise their tasks. Zuckerberg did not prioritise filling a
critical position with a fresh employee. Thus, he lacks the third of the seven habits that
Stephen Covey recommends. When evaluating the usefulness of habit number four, it is
essential to remember that everyone involved in a project should profit from it. The outcomes
show how important it is to take into account the thoughts and sentiments of others to
advance more quickly. According to rumours, Zuckerberg created a trustworthy workplace
because of his reputation for kindness and consideration. The fifth habit is allowing others to
speak and listen to what they say. By making Zuckerberg observe a brainstorming session,
Facebook tested him. Habit 6 emphasises the importance of teamwork for achievement. He
assembled a strong team by gaining people's trust and avoiding the traps of office politics.
The seventh habit, which boosts self-assurance, is the most important for achievement.
Without acquiring a good dosage of self-assurance, it is impossible to enhance one's
emotional and intellectual abilities (Gallati, 2022).

CMI Code of Conduct

The CMI Code of Conduct is the second theoretical pillar (Mahapatro, 2022). It establishes
the foundation for encouraging and upholding a professional demeanour at work. These
requirements' underlying core competencies have been identified (Li et al., 2022). This kind
of quality encompasses competence, professionalism, honesty, and integrity. Employers'
demands were considered when developing the programme to increase productivity. One
advantage of utilising CMI to make leaders more socially conscious is that more jobs will be
accessible (Beeton, 2022).

Task 2 – Evaluation of Learning Style

By employing self-assessment tools, individuals can obtain important insight into their
strengths and areas for improvement. Aids in the development of solutions and the
identification of problems (Kotabe and Helsen, 2022). This information is crucial for
choosing the right job duties and career paths. The Big Five personality traits paradigm is
supported by extraversion, neuroticism, agreeableness, and openness (Shaturaev, 2022). The
first criterion, "openness," refers to the ability to think critically and creatively. It has been
proven that the most tolerant individuals are also wise and brave (American Diabetes
Association Professional Practice Committee, 2022). People are continuously looking for
new information. When people try to be realistic and culturally aware, people can run into
problems. Success requires the quality of conscientiousness, characterised by the capacity for
self-regulation (O'riordan, 2022). People who work hard are usually meticulous and
successful at every task. Poor test results may indicate the student has problems concentrating
(Panjaitan et al., 2022). Extraversion is a personality feature that makes establishing and
maintaining relationships with people easier (Sazvar et al., 2022). Extraversion is the capacity
to be friendly and outgoing. Extraversion is rated as a defect when the score is below average.
Because people prioritise the needs of others over of own, people who possess the
psychological quality of "agreeableness" are more likely to collaborate than to compete
(Nurjaya et al., 2022).

The neurotic personality trait of neuroticism affects one's ability to recognise unpleasant
feelings, including wrath, worry, anxiety, shame, and so on (Michael, 2022). I received
inconsistent results on the self-evaluation test; I scored highly on the openness scale but
poorly on the conscientiousness and agreeableness measures. However, the extraversion and
neuroticism test results were pretty dismal (Xu, 2022). The six main elements of Ryff's 6-
Factor Model are autonomy, environmental mastery, personal growth, substantial
relationships with others, a sense of purpose in life, and self-acceptance. It offers a structure
for introspection, strategic planning, and forward motion while also promoting the creation of
original ideas (Kerzner, 2022). The framework found that I had a high level of self-
acceptance because I have a positive outlook on who I am and can accept my talents and
faults without feeling inferior. I haven't grown much as a person because of where I am in life
right now.

Because I have a hard time making my argument clear and I become bored easily with what
I'm doing, it makes me a little worried that I might be unable to pick up new information,
personality traits, and behavioural patterns. I need to work on breaking out of my stagnation
because of this. My goals for the future are clear, and I think most people have good
intentions. I created my own goals, which have given my life direction. I have trouble
communicating, which has a bad effect on my relationships. I don't have many friends since I
find it difficult to establish and maintain long-lasting social bonds. This trait prevents me
from explaining my ideas and opinions to others. I now feel depressed and alone and won't
give in to anyone. Due to my depth of expertise in this area, I view myself as a master of the
environment. In some situations, I might try to change the situation to serve my objectives
better. I've become strong and independent because I can fend off peer pressure. I am in
charge of how I internally feel. I can assess my development based on my standards. In all
these ways, I have demonstrated my independence. A Facebook wall managed by the
corporation is accessible to employees (Toxvaerd and Rowthorn, 2022). The paper's
existence eventually became known to the entire crew (Kerdpitak, 2022).

Task 3 – Comparison of Strategies for Improving Skills

I'm concerned that my versatility will make it difficult for me to pick up new traditions and
activities. It can be difficult for me to stay grounded at times. In conclusion, it's probable that
I won't be able to make wise decisions and will struggle to cope with the numerous demands
of my profession. I have a low conscientiousness grade, which makes it easy for me to
become side-tracked at work. It can make it harder for me to prioritise and keep track of my
work. It conveys the message that I don't give a damn or care about anything. My ability to
complete the tasks I'm given would be compromised, affecting the quality of my work. Many
consider an average agreeableness score a sign of strength (Boxall and Purcell, 2022). People
who perform in the centre are thought to be naturally empathic and attentive to the
experiences of others (Hayes, 2022). Poor performance could suggest that I don't care about
other people. I consider my strength to be that I received a pretty regular grade. After
discussing with my team and other interested parties, I might use this skill to develop
alternate tactics. I can blame my poor communication skills and stalled personal and
professional development on my poor extraversion ratings. I soon lose interest and
motivation when I'm at work. I often feel alone since I don't have the self-assurance to
approach new individuals.

Additionally, I have trouble communicating, making it tough to build trusting relationships

with co-workers. I might not be able to convey myself clearly due to this problem, which
could have unfavourable effects. For instance, I've never felt comfortable talking to my
professors about my worries or asking them questions because I lack social skills. My
academic performance has steadily deteriorated as a result of this.

Last but not least, my low neuroticism score demonstrates my aptitude for problem-solving.
I'm capable of getting past my feelings and continuing with my life. I may strengthen my
moral compass, communication abilities, and introversion by performing the tasks listed
below:

I need to adopt opposite behaviours to transition from intro to extrovert. For instance, I'm
happy with the job I have right now. If I want to get over my introversion, I need to strive for
an attainable goal, like talking to a stranger daily or stepping outside my comfort zone. I
typically ignore conversations that people start with me at work. Instead, I'll try to relax them
with a smile and some eye contact. I'll be able to expand my social circle and gradually
introduce myself to new individuals thanks to this. If I do not start developing my
communication skills, my career development might stop or at least slow down. Before
improving my interaction with co-workers, I must improve my listening abilities. Making a
better impression during interactions can be accomplished by paying attention to my look and
body language (Abdiyev and Alimardonov, 2022). To speak clearly, one must maintain a
straight stance and make direct eye contact. So, it will assist if I can improve utilising my
body to communicate. After mastering these techniques, I shouldn't have trouble accepting
criticism because it will improve my communication skills.

Exercise has been demonstrated to enhance cognitive function by boosting blood flow to the
brain and nervous system, such as while running or dancing (Blenkinsopp, Duerden, and
Blenkinsopp, 2022). One of the advantages I hope to get from reading this is heightened
awareness. Other ways I could broaden my consciousness include engaging in spiritual
activities, spending time with loved ones, continuing to be open-minded and considerate of
others, and going to social or professional meetings. If I follow these instructions, I might
boost my sense of self-worth and achieve great success in my career. I could cooperate with
my team, co-workers, and others by giving them accurate and practical information if I had
great communication skills. I'll be able to keep my attention from straying and instead focus
on the things that matter most because of the action plan. Two of my top priorities are staying
disciplined and concentrating on the task at hand. I anticipate becoming a more skilled
professional and honing my ability to conduct critical analysis as I apply this approach to
actual job scenarios.

Conclusion
In a nutshell, personal effectiveness is a concept that promotes a positive self-image, which
has significant effects on both one's personal and professional life. An increase in personal
effectiveness can help one succeed both personally and professionally. The CEO of
Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, is a fascinating individual. Those who have interacted with him
confirm his dubious reputation. He has vast experience in many different areas, including
project management, interdisciplinary teams, programming, and development. By putting his
creative ideas to use, he has had considerable success. His extraversion and neuroticism test
results were poor, and his conscientiousness and agreeableness results were ordinary. Low
extraversion and poor communication skills are the two biggest flaws that reduce an
individual's effectiveness. The accomplishments of Facebook and its current CEO, Mark
Zuckerberg, exemplify the value of leveraging one's strengths to improve one's weaknesses
and increase productivity. A strategy has been developed to address the difficulties. It
attempts to support individuals in developing their analytical thinking, effective
communication, and listening skills. Human behaviour may be taught and is very predictable.
People must take charge of their organisations and lead them in the right direction to achieve
their goals. The personnel of a company are referred to as its human resources.
