Some verbs to introduce daily routines:

Wake up Finish school / work

Get up Go home
Take a shower Relax
Get dressed Do homework
Have breakfast Do exercise
Go to school / work Watch television
Start school / work Have dinner
Have a break Go to bed
Have lunch

EXAMPLES:

I get up at seven o’clock. We She gets up at 7:30.

You watch TV in the afternoon. I

He lives in the United States. My

morning.
She finishes school at 5 o’clock.
He studies French.

IRREGULAR VERBS EXAMPLES:

They have breakfast at 8 o’clock. My father has breakfast at 9 o’clock.

You go to school by bus. He goes to school by car.

I do homework in the afternoon. She does homework in the evening.

A. Write a list of your activities in a typical day.

For example:
• 6:00 - get up
• 6:30 - eat breakfast
• 7:00 - go to school
• 4:00 – finish school
• 4:30 – go home
 o 6:00 – Wake up
o 6:30 – Watch my phone
o 7:00 – Get up
o 7:30 – To drink coffee
o 8:00 – go to class

B. Then, write a small paragraph about a day in your life. Use the following
connecting words:
• Then, after that, next, and finally.

For example:
I get up at 6 o’clock and then I take a shower. I
have breakfast at 6:30. Then, I go to school. I finish
school at 4:00 o’clock. Finally I go home.
