Describe how a criminal justice administrator should approach the

position as an administrator.

The work of a criminal justice administrator is to resolve disputes

between individuals and the government, corporations and the government

or individual and corporations. In some cases, which entail government

people, justice administrators find it difficult to deal with them since they

think that the criminal justice sector is a government arm. Courts must

ensure proper management and administration of their operations to gain

public trust and confidence. Although the use of technology is a major

approach in judicial administration, it requires to be accompanied with good

system alignment, organized process, and people for its success, (Fox et al,

2016).

The administrator should utilize the experience of the lawyer. Criminal

justice administrator should posses detailed legal knowledge about the

position he is approaching. Although most people think that criminal justice

administrators should be good lawyers, it should be more than that. It is

easy to exercise expertise in some areas but not all areas. Although any

member of the community can easily understand the law, it is very complex

for a justice administrator. Since it is the duty of the lawyers to explain

details of application of the principles of the law in particular circumstances

to the judge, he should also be as good as the lawyers for easy

understanding of the case. Some criminal justice administrators base their

judgment on seeing the witness. This is important in some cases; however,

some cases require critical analysis even with evidence from the witness.

Since standing in the witness box is an unusual experience, the witness may

feel uncomfortable. The justice administrator should effectively utilize the

enforcement of orders in an act to ensure justice, (Fox et al, 2016).

What are the important concepts that the administrator should be

cognizant about in an effort to be successful.

There are numerous concepts which judicial administrators should be

cognizant about for the success of their work. They should posses the

following, transparency, courage, patience, wisdom, and sympathy.

Additionally, they should also posses human skills, technical skills and

conceptual skills. Furthermore, they should always be open minded and fair

depending on the situation. Fearless and independence for the maximum

protection of the citizens` rights should be some of their qualities in the

course of duty, (Labriola et al, 2013).

Basing on the irreversibility of the damage that may be caused to the

justice seekers by the justice administrator`s error in decision making, the

administrator should try as much as possible to minimize errors. However

since they are also human beings, errors cannot be eliminated. The justice

administrator should exercise fair justice following the law and constitution.

The level of proficiency and understanding criteria exercised by the judicial

administrator when performing his duties determines his technical skills. This

entails the use of analytical ability and specialized knowledge by the criminal

justice administrator while exercising court duties, (Labriola et al, 2013).

The ability of an administrator to effectively work with a group of

people and building of teamwork among them tests his human skills. The

administrator should be able to accept views, beliefs, and perceptions

different from his. He should be able to understand the reason for other

people`s behaviors and words. Creating a favorable atmosphere for his

teammates will help them feelfree to express their true feelings.

Furthermore, he should encourage his subordinates to participate in the

crime analysis of a particular case. This helps to widen the case approaches

basing on the numerous ideals raised by different people, (Labriola et al,

2013).

The criminal justice administrator should be sensitive and able

to judge the possible outcomes of a particular decision made. By this, he will

be able to account for different perceptions from different people. He should

develop human skills naturally and demonstrate it by working with others

not only at the time of decision-making but also in his everyday life.

Furthermore, the ability of a judicial administrator to view the crime case as

a whole determines his conceptual skills. It entails him strengthening the

relation between the people involved in the case, and how absence of one

will affect the other. Basing on their relationship, the administrator should

identify ways of achieving his set goals without distorting their relationship,

(Labriola et al, 2013).

Effective Intelligence of the administrator involves gathering vital

information about the criminal case and identifying the close relationships in

the case. The criminal justice administrator should be in position to write

clear decision. They should also exercise high levels of integrity in their both

personal lives and professions. However many the challenges he faces in the

course of achieving success and administer justice, the criminal justice

administrator should not give up. Taking responsibilities of a particular case

are sometimes matters of life and death. Those in opposition of justice

administration tend to excise threats to the witnesses and the justice

administrator in with aims of hiding the truth. Therefore, it is the duty of the

justice administrator to find possible means of finding out the truth.

Otherwise, very many people are in prisons taking responsibility of the

crimes they did not commit, (Labriola et al, 2013).
