One day in the animal village, there is a rabbit that can run very fast.

recognized him and called him the fastest animal runner in the village. Because the rabbit is the fastest
running animal in the village, the rabbit is approached by many animals there. All animals want to be
friends with the rabbit. However, there is one animal in the village who really hates the rabbit. He is the
tortoise. Unlike other animals, the tortoise really hates the rabbit. The tortoise was very jealous of the
rabbit because the rabbit was approached by all the animals in the village while the tortoise has no
friends at all because he is not popular. One morning, the rabbit accidentally met the tortoise in the
field. The tortoise is jogging. Then the rabbit approached the tortoise.

Rabbit: “Hello, good morning tortoise”

Tortoise: “Hello, good morning too”

Rabbit: “What are you doing?”

Tortoise: “Are you blind? I’m jogging!!”

Rabbit: “Wow chill, I’m just asking, no need to be rude.”

Tortoise: “Whatever, I don’t care.”

R: “Why? Did you really hate me that much?”

T: “Of course I do!”

R: “But why?”

T: “Because you’re so popular!! And I don’t like that.”

R: “That’s because I’m fast. What is it, are you jealous?”

T: “Are you picking a fight?”

R: “You started it!”

The tortoise grabbed the rabbit's ear tightly. But suddenly the monkey came to stop their fight.

Rabbit: “Monkey, you better leave. I have an unfinished business with this animal.”

Monkey: “If you’re really going to fight, at least do it correctly.”

T: “What do you mean?”

Mon: “I suggest you finish this on the boxing ring. How about that?”

Rabbit : “Good idea. I can easily beat him up there.”

Tor: “Oi, don’t be so cocky.” (pointing at Rabbit)

Mon: “Okay, you two can go home now. I will invite the others to support you two.”

Tortoise: “Heh, all of them are going to support the rabbit.”

Mon: “Now, now, don’t be so hang up on that.”

(Tortoise and Rabbit went away)

They finally left the field and went back to their house and when the tortoise got home the tortoise
thought how to beat the rabbit.

Tortoise: “HMMM.. How am I going to fight the rabbit? I’m slow and I don’t even know how to fight.
Even less on the boxing ring.”

Tortoise: “I have to think about the most effective way to do this. What should I do?”

Tortoise: “Oh, I must go to meet Big Rat. He must be able to make some kind of potion to help me.”

The tortoise finally went to meet the big rat at his house.

Tortoise: (knock knock) “Hello, is anyone here?”

Big rat: “Yes? What can I help you with?”

BR : “What for?”

Tortoise: “I need you to give me a potion that can help me to defeat Rabbit in a fight.”

Big Rat handed a bottle to Tortoise.

BR: “Here. This can help make your body stronger.”

T: “Wow, you’re amazing, Big Rat! I will take this, then. Thank you very much!”
BR: “No worries. Good luck on your fight tomorrow.”

T: “Thanks. I will be going now, then.”

BR: “Ok, bye.”

T: “See you.”

Tortoise: “With this, I won’t even need to practice! Heh, I should just sleep until tomorrow.”

The tortoise returned to his home after receiving the bottle from Big Rat. Arriving at home the tortoise
went straight to bed. Meanwhile Rabbit practices diligently to win tomorrow's match.

The day changed. The match between the rabbit and the tortoise is about to begin.

Monkey: “Good morning everyone. Today we are going to watch a match between the tortoise and the
rabbit. Are you all ready?! Let’s welcome them to the stage!”

(Both tortoise and rabbit entered the stage)

Monkey: “Then, as a judge, I will tell you some rules before we start. First is no cheating. Second, don’t
take it out on each other after the match. Now, please get in to your position!”

(Tortoise and Rabbit went to their respective corners)

Monkey: “The match start in 3… 2… 1!”

Tortoise: “I’m definitely going to win this, just give up Rabbit!”

Rabbti: “Don’t be so cocky.”

---Rabbit attacks Tortoise, Tortoise defended with his back.

Rabbit: “Heh, you are quite good at this.”

Tortoise: “You too.”

Rabbit: “Then, would you be able to take this last one?”

Tortoise: “COME HERE!”

The rabbit hits the tortoise with consecutive punches as the tortoise proudly takes all the blows from the
rabbit, but the situation has changed. Tortoise sneaked a sip out of his potion, but the potion the tortoise
drank didn't work and the tortoise was hit by all the rabbit's consecutive hits.

In the end, Tortoise was beaten mercilessly by Rabbit.

Monkey: “The winner is Rabbit!!”

Tortoise: “Impossible... Why didn’t the potion work?!”

Rabbit: “Heh, serve you right, Tortoise!”

Everyone congratulates Rabbit. Torn between embarrassed and angry, Tortoise then walked home
quickly.

When afternoon come, Tortoise went to Big Rat’s house since he was curious. He wanted to know why
Big Rat deceived him. He knocked on the wooden door furiously until Big Rat opened the door.

Tortoise: “You tricked me!”

Big Rat: “Did I?”

Tortoise: “Yes, you did! Your potion doesn’t work!”

Big Rat: (smiles) “Well, in my defense, I never said that it was a potion, didn’t I?”

Tortoise paused as he tried to remember his encounter with Big Rat the other day. It was true that Big
Rat never stated what the bottle contained of; Tortoise was the one who assumed that it was a magic
potion. Tortoise looked ashamed.

Big Rat: “By the way, did you know how hard Rabbit practiced? I can hear him punching and kicking that
poor wooden figure all the way in my own house!”

Tortoise: “Rabbit did?”

Big Rat: “Yes, yes. Now did you realize what your fault is?”

Tortoise: (looking down) “I was… too blinded with jealously that I never realized how hard Rabbit
worked to become so well-liked.”

Tortoise: “If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have realized that, so… Thank you, Big Rat.”

Big Rat: “Always happy to help.”

Tortoise and Big Rat smiled to each other, until Big Rat’s stomach began to rumble loudly. He looks
around in shame.

Big Rat: “All that aside, I have a confession to make. And I may also need a small help from you.”

Tortoise: “Say it. I will try my best to help you.”

Big Rat: “Can you get me something to eat? That potion I gave you yesterday… Well, it was supposed to
be my dinner.”

Tortoise looked at him in disbelief.

Well, all is well again in the animal kingdom for another day.
