 Aim: Students will acquire knowledge and skills on
research process, principles of research utilization and
are able to write a small scale research
proposal/assignment.
 Objectives:
Upon completion of the course the students will be
able to:
• The role of research and the relationship between
research, theory and physiotherapy practice.
• The scope and applications of research.
• The process of research.

• Quantitative research.
• The survey, descriptive and analytical.
• Prospective longitudinal and retrospective cross-
section designs.
• The logic and structure of experimental, quasi-
experimental and non-experimental designs.

dependent variables. Null and alternative hypotheses.
