ACT I

INT. CLASSROOM - MORNING

FADE IN:

A steady frame of a classroom establishing that there are 3

rows of benches arranged facing the door and there are bags
placed on the benches. On the left side of the classroom
there are two windows which are established because there is
sunlight coming through them.

Slight whispers and footsteps from a distance start and then

the period bell rings.

Students start entering through the door and then the camera
pans right and showcases Surya sitting on the last bench of
the middle row (reading a book) and then Dhriti sitting on
penultimate bench (head down on the bench)on the left side
row. Students keep entering the classroom and occupy their
seats and then Harsitha taps on Dhriti's shoulder (gently)
when Dhriti lifts her head up (beautiful but pale)(closeup).

Time lapse of teachers explaining. Surya taking glances at

Dhriti(closeup). Dhriti listening (dull).

FADE OUT

INT. CLASSROOM - AFTERNOON

Teacher explaining. Lunch bell rings. Students stand up and

leave. Dhriti, Surya and Harsitha stay back.

HARSITHA
hey why don't you have lunch at cafe?

DHRITI
(sighs a no)
No, you go ahead. It's fine.

HARSITHA
I can stay back if you want.

DHRITI
I am fine. just go and have fun.
(harsitha leaves)

Dhriti lays her head down. Surya observes everything from the
back.

SURYA
Hey! are you alright?
 2.

DHRITI
(lifts her head and takes a glance
at Surya )

SURYA
Hey I've been observing people giving
you glances and I understand that you
are going through something but let me
assure you that this is just a phase
and it will pass.

DHRITI
(looks away)

Surya continues.

SURYA
But you have to make sure that you
stand up for yourself and let people
know that you are not ready to take
shit.

DHRITI
(looks at him)
Exactly! Mind your own shit.

Dhriti puts her head down and Surya (perplexed) continues

eating his lunch.

FADE OUT
