INT.LIVING ROOM-NIGHT
The living room is filled with around 9-10 people sitting
together who are engaged in various conversations. The
atmosphere suggests that it’s a small party.
PERSON 1:
(sitting on a rocking chair smiling
softly looking at the photo albums
of past years)
Kitne ache din the jab hum sab
baithkar har weekend aisi parties
karte the ab kitne mahino
baad milte hum sab. Bhaisahb or
bhabhi ke jaane ke baad ab wo
mohaul hi nhi rha
PERSON 2:
(nods along)
PERSON 3:
beete huye samay ko bhuljao dekho
kitne khush lag rhe teeno bachche
ab after everything.

DIVYA:
( overhearing few convos)
we are delighted to have you all
here or ye ghar abhi bhi pehle
jaise aaplog ke presence ko greet
karne ke liye khula rahega .
Aap log ka dinner serve kar diya

CUT TO SOMEONE DRAGGING ALONG A SUITCASE AND COMING TOWARDS

THE MAIN GATE SLOWLY.
As the conversation continues, a voice in the room asks a
question excitedly.

PERSON 1:
Tumhe lagta hai ab Aditya aayega?
Divya has a stoic expression on. She walks towards the little
to not visible tilted photo frame and replies in a very low
and calm voice after fixing it
DIVYA:
Nahi… Nahi aayega.
Just then, the doorbell rings. Dhruv opens the door and is
surprised and at same time very happy to see his Eldest
brother, Aditya.
Aditya enters, exuding a larger-than-life presence. Everyone
hugs and greets him enthusiastically. The younger two
siblings, Dhruv and ahana look up to him with admiration.
However there's tension between Aditya and divya. divya
doesn't seem very pleased to see him. They share an awkward
hug.
Aditya takes a seat, and everyone starts asking about his
well being and what's new.
PERSON 1 :
Areh Aditya, it's so good to see
you. Kaise ho?
PERSON 2 :
Kitne duble hogye ho. Kch Kha Pi
nahi rhe ho kya?

ADITYA :
(smiles)
Nahi nahi aisa kch nahi hai,bs kaam
kafi zyada rehta hai.Btw aap kitne
zyada sundar hogye ho.
Person 2 blushes.
In between the coversations divya glances at aditya a few
times puzzled
Slowly, one by one, the other guests leave the home, and
divya approaches towards the door to shut it with a smiling
face.
Upon shutting the door she turns around and leans towards the
shut door and abruptly her smile starts to fade upon seeing
Aditya with the two siblings

CAMERA PANS TOWARDS ADITYA AND THE TWO SIBLINGS GIGGLING

SITTING AT THE DINING TABLE
Now only the four siblings remain. All four of them look at
each other awkwardly and then all of them get inside their
rooms, and shut their doors.
CUT TO

INT.KITCHEN-MORNING
The following morning, the three siblings are having their
breakfast. Till the time Aditya arrives, the three of them
are done with their breakfast.
ADITYA
(Kindly)
Lgta hai, I am late. So kya hai
breakfast mein?
DIVYA:
(looking at aditya for a sec and
ignoring the conversation)
Dhruv and ahana try to defuse the tension.
DHRUV :
What's your plan for today, bhaiya?
Maybe we can hangout.
AHANA :
(Excitedly)
Yes! Yes!
DIVYA :
(irritated)
Kya tumlogon ke assignments hogye?
I will check all your work when I
get back from the supermarket
This upsets Dhruv and ahana.
divya leaves to run errands
As soon as divya leaves, Aditya excitedly comes to his
younger siblings.
ADITYA :
Ghumne Chale?
Dhruv and ahana looks at him excitedly.

EXT.PARK-EVENING
A montage of the three siblings have fun with music in the
background. They’re shown hanging around, running together,
chasing each other, play fighting and being just like any
other group of siblings.
Aditya, Dhruv and Ahana are enjoying themselves in the park.

They are playing badminton.
CUT (CONT'D)
They are eating bhelpuri.
CUT (CONT'D)
They are clicking selfies.

MUSIC ENDS

EXT.STREET-NIGHT
As Aditya, Dhruv and Ahana are walking, Ahana gets a call on
her phone. She takes a look at her phone and a look of
concern passes over her face for a quick fleeting moment
before she schools her expressions into one of nonchalance.
ADITYA:
(teasing)
Kya hua? Phone nahi uthana?
Aisi kya cheez hai jo bade bhai se
chhupani pad rahi hai?
AHANA:
(seemingly irritated)
Kuch nahi, yaar. Anyway…. Aapko
kabse itni fiqr hone lagi? But
sure, aapki peace of mind ke liye
main ye phone call le leti hu, i
guess. Mujhe 5 minute do.
ADITYA:
(confused, looks toward
dhruv.)
Isko kya ho gaya, bhai? Tujhe pata
hai kuch?
Ahana walks away to take her call. She seems visibly shaken
up while listening to her call.

Aditya almost seems convinced to quietly go and see what it’s

all about but Dhruv interrupts his train of thought.
DHRUV:
(sincerely)
You know…. We missed you. A lot.
Seriously.
Aditya looks sad and opens his mouth to say something before
closing it. He seems lost for words.
Ahana comes back, she looks slightly disgruntled but doesn't
try to be very obvious about it.

EXT.E-RICKSHAW-CONTD
Cut to the scene inside an e-rickshaw/car, where Aditya looks
at the mirror reflecting on what his younger sibling just
said. However, he tries to shake himself out of it and then
asks about dinner plans.
ADITYA
(Thoughtful)
Uh… kahi khana khaane jaana hai?
AHANA
Khana toh hai….
(chuckles)
Aap treat karoge na?
(ontage of the three siblings having food. They get lost in
this an

INT.HOME-CONTD
The dining table is set with everyone's plates. divya is
sitting and waiting for everyone.
The three siblings return.

ACT 2

EXT. DIFFERENT LOCATIONS - LATE EVENING

The scene captures a vivid montage of the three siblings
laughing, playing and a whirlwind
Of giggles and happiness. Shots of them in a park with a
picnic basket all packed. Adway Punya and Garv playing ludo,
Garv sulking because he lost. Then all of them getting ice-
cream together, Adway threw a frisbee at Garv and they start
passing it on,
After enjoying their scrumptious picnic, Adway regaled Punya
and Garv with stories of his latest adventures in Europe,
making them giggle with his animated storytelling. As the sun
began to warm the day, the siblings decided to explore the
area. They wandered along the lakeshore, chasing butterflies,
and even had a small scavenger hunt, collecting colorful
leaves and stones.
This family picnic was not just about food and games; it was
a day filled with love, bonding, and the joy of being
together. They left the park with full hearts and treasured
memories that would last a lifetime.

INT. DINING TABLE - NIGHT

THE SHOT BEGINS WITH A WALL CLOCK TICKING TO 10 CLOCK. PEARL

IS SITTING AT THE TABLE WITH FOOD IN

IN FRONT OF HER. SHE’S CONSTANTLY LOOKING AT THE CLOCK.

CUT TO

INT. CAR - LATE NIGHT

The shot begins with loud chuckles and all three of them are
immersed in the palpating ecstasy
Punya has tears in her eyes because of all the incessant
laughs. The moment is followed
by a sudden silence. Everyone goes quiet. Garv breaks the
silence.

GARV
Aap ab tak kaha the?
Adway knew what Garv implied. He didn’t want to confront them
just yet.
ADWAY
Btaya to abhi tujhe apne germany ke
adventures ke bare me.
I was there, making each moment
count.
Adway smiles back awkwardly
GARV
Par Aap hume chord kar kyun chale
gaye the..3 saal pehle,
I wish you were here….
Garv goes silent. Adway looked in his rear mirror, and didn't
know how to answer his question.
The phone rang and it was pearl. All three of them look at
each other and then at the phone.
CUT TO

INT. DINING TABLE - LATE NIGHT

The door creaks slightly. The camera captures the clock
depicting 10:55. Pearl is staring at the door without
blinking. Garv enters first, he sees pearl at the table,
moves back outside again. Adway and Punya snap at him.
ADWAY
(whispers)
Tu bahar wapas kyu aaya?
GARV
(Whispers)
Khud he dekhlo andar jake.
Garv moves aside to let Adway in. Adway hesitantly steps
forward, turns around in the middle towards Garv.
ADWAY
(Whispers)
Gun to nahi hai na uske hath me?
GARV
(whispers)
Nahi…. Gun to nahi hai, Par i don’t
think she needs it.
 8.

Adway twitched his lips and nodded in disappointment. He

turns back and opens the door again.
Peeks inside and finally gets in. He is followed by Garv and
Punya. Adway sees Pearl sitting on the table, fuming with
anger. Adway started to explain to her.
ADWAY
Plan to dinner se pehle he aane ka
tha magar traffic itna tha–
Pearl stomps her hand on the table. She stands up in an
instant motion, almost saying something. Then looks at Punya
and Garv and chooses not to. Punya senses the tension and
intervenes.
PUNYA
Didi! Dinner me kya hai? Bhaut zor
se bhookh lagi hai.
She leaps forward towards the dining table.
PUNYA (CONT.) (CONT'D)
Arey, aaloo gobhi! Bhaiya aapko
bahut pasand hai na.
I still remember, bachpan me mumma
almost
har roz bana dia karti thi
Just because ye adway bhaiya ko
pasand thi!
Pearl and Adway break the eye contact and Adway passes a
subtle hint of smile to Punya
ADWAY
Banati kese nahi? Arey unka
favourite bacha tha me!
Pearl smirks gently and starts to serve and mumbles under her
breath.
PEARL
I’m sure bahut proud feel hota
unhe, agar wo aaj yha hoti,
Or Apke Germany ke adventures ke
bare me sunti…uss waqt..
uss waqt jab..Jab unke bhai bheno
ko unki sabse jada jarorat thi!
ADWAY
Are mummy to khud germany ka family
trip plan kar rahi thi.
Mere adventures ke baare me sun kar
to wo khush ho jati.

ADWAY (CONT'D)
Or mujhe maloom hai, mere jane ke
baad sabse jada khush tu
He hogi. Aakhir mera kamra jo mil
gya hoga tujhe.
Adway laughs it off. He looks into his plate. Pearl storms
inside. She comes back with her
Cell phone in her hand, reading something.
PEARL (CONT.)
“Bhaiya..bhaiya aap wapas kab
aaenge?”
Pearl looks up with a hint of tear in her eyes and her voice
crackling.She continues to read.
PEARL(CONT.) (CONT'D)
“Bhaiya..bhaiya next month diwali
Hai, aap wapas aa
rahe hai na? Mene apka room saaf
karne ko bol diya hai,
We will be waiting for you Bhaiya!”
There’s pin drop silence in the room. Garv realises Pearl is
reading all the emails she sent to Adway while he was in
Germany, none of which he reverted back to.
GARV
Didi..didi mujhe nahi lagta ye hai
right time hai to discuss
All this. Aap please, please pehle
dinner karlo
Pearl doesn’t listen to him and continues nevertheless.
PEARL
Oh wait, listen to this one-
“Bhaiya, agle mahine mummy papa
Ki first death anniversary hai. Aap
yahan, yha aa rahe hai na? Mom
really loved you and i’m sure wo
barsi ki pooja aapke he haatho
Karwati…anyways, i’ll be waiting
for you bhaiya.”

PEARL LOOKS UP FROM THE SCREEN AT ADWAY.

PEARL (CONT.) (CONT'D)
And guess what? Aap nahi aae! Par
malloom hai, ab sochti hu acha
Hai aap nahi aae, kam se kam uss
din ke baad se phir kabhi apke

PEARL (CONT.) (CONT'D)
Wapas aane ki jhoothi umeede khud
ko nhi di!
Pearl takes an audible whiff as starts again.
(Pearl)
(Anger)
Apko..apko maloom hai Garv, he’s
the top of his class?
Or Punya, uski ek bhi painting
dekhi hai apne kabhi? Or the fact
How well are they doing in their

hoga?
Kyunki aap kabhi sochte he kha hai

Adway couldn’t hold up anymore this
time. He stands up in an instant.
ADWAY
(Anger)
Chilla, or chilla, agar ye karne se
tujhe tere teen saal
wapis mil jaenge, to or zor se
chilla! Par ye tu bhi janti
Hai or me bhi, usse kuch nhi hone
wala.
Me janta hu mere kuch bhi bolne ya
samjhane se tujhe koi faraq

Or me ek irresponsible brat! khush?
Pearl turns her back to adway, swiftly, she moves her hand to
touch her forehead. Everything turns into
Background noise as the camera focus on the expression of
pearl’s face. She moves slowly towards the dinning table and
throws the first thing that she can get her hands on, in
order to stop the noise.
There’s pin drop silence in the room. Pearl turns around and
looks at Garv and Punya. Garv catches Pearl’s eyes for a
moment and then goes back to his room, stomping his way on
the stairs. Punya clenches her jaw for second and speaks in a
crackling voice.
PUNYA
You know what? Aap dono he ek jese
ho.
She smiles faintly.

PUNYA(CONT.) (CONT'D)
Teen saal pehle, mene or Garv ne
sirf apne parents ko nhi khoya tha
Balki..balki..apne bade bhai or
bhen ko bhi khoya tha!
Punya looks at Adway.
PUNYA (CONT'D)
Bhaiya, aap, aap to kabhi aae he
nhi waapis, jab mujhe or sabse jada
Garv ko, jab..jab usse ek bade bhai
ki jarorat thi.
Or didi, aap…
Punya turns to Pearl
PUNYA(CONT.) (CONT'D)
Aap hmari parents ki kami poori
karte karte, ye to bhool
He gyi ki hume ek badi bhen ki bhi
jarorat thi! Uss din humne sirf
Apne he parents ko he nhi, bade
bhai bhen ko bhi kho diya!
Punya turns around and rushes to her room.Only Pearl and
Adway are the ones left in the room.
PEARL
Bas? Mil gayi na khushi ab? Dekh
lia na, nahi hu me perfect!
Kitni he koshish kyu na karlu par
humesha kuch na kuch choot jata
hai,
Isiliye, chahti thi, aap yahan
hote, mere sath, wo kamiya poori
karne ke lie!
Adway contemplates for a while before speaking again. He
speaks calmly.
ADWAY
Pearl believe me! Nahi chahta tha
me kisi ke liye bhi ye sab..
I tried, i swear..i just, somehow,
nahi kar paya himmat!
PEARL
Do you think I wanted it? 3 saal
pehle, to give up my life
And become a mother to these two?
Jha mujhe ye sochna chahie
Tha ki konsi dress pehnu, uss waqt

Adway moves closer to her, closing some of the gap.
ADWAY
Or tujhe kya lagta hai? Me ye sab

Mom Dad ke baad i knew sab mujhe

Mene aaj tak kabhi khud ke lie koi

Pearl smirks sarcastically.

life miss kar dunga. Pearl to hai

Adway clinks his tongue in exasperation.

ADWAY
Me wapis sirf tumhare liye nahi
aaya hu.
PEARL
Aap aa bhi nahi sakte. Kyunki
jarorat thi, tab aap nahi the.
ADWAY
Yeah, right. Sahi kehta tha Garv,
ye ghar ab ghar nahi raha.
Pearl looks at Adway with an unfathomable expression. She
storms back to her room.And Adway rushes to the terrace.

ACT 3

INT. ON A STAIRCASE
Adway walks up the stair case where he sees the old height
charts of his siblings and a photograph of the family as he
rises up the stairs.

EXT. A TERRACE - DAY

WIDE SHOT FROM THE BACK

Adway is standing on the rooftop leaned in the the terrace
railing smoking his cigarette with his right and tracing
something on the railing with his left.

CLOSUP SHOT OF HIS FACE

Adway is seen smoking his cigarette with wet eyes looking at
the distance and then looking down towards his hands.

CAMERA PANS TO HIS HANDS AND A DRAWING IS SHOWN AFTER HE

REMOVES HIS HANDS

The sound of the terrace door opening makes Adway remove his
hands from the drawing immediately.
CUT TO:
WIDE SHOT FROM THE BACK
Pearl starts walking towards Adway who is still smoking, and
stands there next to him, and starts looking at the distance.

MASTER SHOT OF ADWAY AND PEARL

Adway hands over the cigarette to Pearl and she takes a puff,
they stay there in silence for a few seconds.

OTS SHOT OF ADWAY SHOWING PEARL

PEARL
(with a smile)
You're still smoking these?
ADWAY
Old habits die hard i guess.
There is a silence shared by the siblings as they share this
cigarette amongst them.

WIDE SHOT FROM THE BACK

(With a mild stutter like
a person who is just
about to cry)
ADWAY (CONT'D)
N-Nahi hua mujhse you know, nahi

OTS SHOT SHOWING ADWAY

He continues speaking
(While crying)

There remains a silence and Adway and Pearl both start to cry

He continues to cry

She looks at him and looks at the drawing on the railing of
the terrace of her and his brothers initials on the railing,
she gives it a touch. Then again looks in the distance with
sadness and anger on her face, as she wipes her tears

PEARL
Do you really think I want you to

ADWAY

PEARL
(with a cold look in the
distance and stares back
at him)
I dont think tumhari zaroorat h
yaha pe ab, the best thing you can
do is leave tomorrow morning as

WIDE SHOT
Pearl takes a look at him and walks away back to the door
where she came from and slams the door.
CUT TO:

INT. IN THE HOUSE IN FRONT OF THE DOOR - DAY

Adway is ready at the door with his suitcases and bags ready
to leave, Garv and Sania come to say their final goodbyes and
Pearl is sitting at the table further away, sipping her
morning coffee but looking at the three of them.
GARV
Jaa rhe ho Adway bhaiya, but you
just came?
SANIA
Exactly, itni jaldi kyu jaa rhe
ho...ruk jaate thode din aur.
Adway smiles at them, takes a look at Pearl, looks back at
his two siblings.
ADWAY
Haan, jaana pad rha h kuch zaroori
kaam h, mera mann to h rukne ka but
nahi ruk sakta.
He touches each of theirs cheeks looks at Pearl with a sad
face.
ADWAY (CONT'D)
Lekin agar kabhi bhi meri zaroorat
pade dubara, ek call krdena
bas...aa jaunga.

CAMERA PANS TO PEARL AND THEN BACK TO ADWAY

He gives his younger siblings a final hug as they both start

to cry. Pearl gets up and leaves for the terrace. Adway gives
a sad smile and leaves the home

POV SHOT OF HIM LOOKING AT HIS SIBLINGS AND HIS HOME, CAMERA

PANS TO AN EMPTY CHAIR WITH A COFFEE MUG ON IT, WIDE SHOT

FROM BEHIND OF HIM LEAVING THE HOUSE FROM THE FRONT DOOR AND

THE GATE CLOSES.

EXT. A TERRACE - CONTINUOUS

Pearl is stood back at the same spot with a cigarette in her
hand now, looking at the drawing.

CAMERA PANS BACK TO PEARL

The sound of a car door cuts into Adway being outside the car
looking at his home.
DRIVER
Chalte h sir, time hone waala h
flight ka.
ADWAY
(sighs)
Haan, bas...kuch nhi, chalo.
Adway sits in his car and the car starts and he leaves his
house.
He gets a phone call and soon as he reads the name, he tells
the driver to stop the car immediately.
ADWAY (CONT'D)
(tensed)
Kya hua? Sab okay pearl?
PEARL
Aa jao.
ADWAY
Kaha?
