Personal Pronouns is a short word we use as a simple substitute for the proper name of a
person.

3. Demonstrative Pronouns are pronouns that point to specific objects. They take the place of a
noun, noun phrase, activity, or situation.

4. Reflexive Pronouns is a specific type of pronoun that is used for the object of a verb when it
refers to the same noun as the subject of that verb.

Examples:

- He dressed himself in spite of his injuries.


- We’ve brought ourselves something to eat.

5. Reciprocal Pronouns is a pronoun which is used to indicate that two or more people are
carrying out or have carried out an action of some type, with both receiving the benefits or
consequences of that action simultaneously. Any time something is done or given in return,
reciprocal pronouns are used. The same is true any time mutual action is expressed.

= Peter helped Mary and Mary helped Peter.
- We sent one another Christmas cards.
= We sent them a Christmas card and they sent us a Christmas card.

6. Interrogative Pronouns is a pronoun used to ask a question.
