Emergency blanket - They can be used to prevent and counter hypothermia by reducing heat loss
from a person's body, to cover injured victims in order to help reduce shock, to line the inside of
a sleeping bag, and can even be used in a hot environment to provide shade as a shelter
barrier.
Instant Ice Pack - can decrease swelling and inflammation and help stop bleeding. The
cold restricts blood circulation, which in turn can numb the pain. It can also help limit any
bruising. You can keep instant cold packs in your home first-aid kit or in your car in case of

Confirming Bandage - provides support for injured joints in high movement areas like the
wrist, thigh or knee. Commonly used as a dressing retention, the bandages conform to the
shape of the applied area and provide relief and light compression.
Cleansing wipe pad - they do a great job of cleansing and preventing infection in minor
cuts, scrapes, and abrasions.
Alcohol pad - Prevent infections with single-use alcohol cleansing pads. Each pad is saturated
with 70% isopropyl alcohol and helps kill the germs in the area surrounding the wound.
Sterile gauze pad - for cleaning and covering cuts, scrapes, grazes and minor burns.
These pads are highly absorbent and designed to draw fluids away from the wound site and
help clean dirt and germs from the injured area.
Triangular bandage - used as an arm sling or as a pad to control bleeding. It may also be
used to support or immobilize an injury to a bone or joint or as improvised padding over a
painful injury.
Tourniquet - used to control bleeding by completely stopping the blood flow to a wound.
Tourniquets work only on arm and leg injuries; you can't exactly wrap a tight band around a
patient's neck and cinch it down to stop the flow of blood.
Tweezers - remove ticks, insect stingers, and small splinters.
Tape roll - is a type of pressure-sensitive adhesive tape used in medicine and first aid to hold a
bandage or other dressing onto a wound.
Safety Pin - There are many uses for safety pins, including within first aid treatment. These are
excellent tools for securing a wrap or bandage applied to a wound, or for non-first aid use
such as attaching an identification number to athletes in a marathon.
Scissors - essential item to have in any first aid kit. These scissors can be used to cut
bandages to fit wounds and help remove dressings so bandages can be changed,
reducing the risk of infection.
