1 - HO ACTIVITY
Saving, Creating Folder, Sub-Folder, Font, Paragraph, Margins, Find and Replace,
Page Number, Header and Footer, Date and Time

1. Open MSWORD.
2. Saving and creating folder / sub-folder.
a. How To Save, Create Folder & Sub-Folder:

2.1 Type =rand(15,6) & press Enter. Fifteen paragraphs will be displayed. then

2.2 TO SAVE: Click the File tab and select Save if first Saving, and Save As, if 2nd saving,

2.3 Select the location then Browse. Select the location (Desktop/YOUR LOCATION)

2.4 TO CREATE A FOLDER: Click New Folder, rename your folder as, ( LASTNAME,
FIRST NAME MIDDLE NAME ) ex. DELA CRUZ, JUAN D. Open, then

2.5 TO CREATE YOUR SUB-FOLDER: Click New Folder again and rename it as "YOUR
SCHEDULE", ex. MH 4:30 – 6:00P. Open, then

2.6 To Rename your document: Go to the File name box and rename your document as "FIRST
NAME INITIAL, MIDDLE INITIAL LASTNAME – SECTION CODE" then click the
Save box or press Enter. ex. JDDELACRUZ – 01

3. Format your document:


a. Font

Font – Lucida Sans Unicode Font size - 14


a1. Highlight the document or press Ctrl-A to highlight the document, then on the Ribbon,
click the Home tab go to the Font box, and select Lucida Sans Unicode and 14 as font
size.

c. Paragraph

Alignment – Justified, Indentation Special – First Line,


Spacing Before and After ( 24pt ), Line Spacing - Double
c1. Highlight the paragraphs, then on the Home tab go to the Paragraph Group, and click
the Paragraph Dialog Box Launcher arrow.
c2. On the Paragraph Dialog Box: On the Alignment box, select Justified.

On the Indentation Special Box, select First Line,


On the Line Spacing box, select Double,
On the Spacing Before and After, change to 24pt. SAVE.

b. Margins

Top ( 1.5” ), Left ( 1.5” ), Right ( 1.3” ) & Bottom ( 1.0” ) Paper size - Letter
b1. On the Ribbon, click the Page Layout tab or Layout tab go to the Page Setup Group &
click the Page Layout Dialog Box Launcher.
b2. On the Dialog Box, select the Margins tab to set the Margins & Orientation. Select the
Paper tab for the Paper size. SAVE.

d. INSERT - Page Number ( at the top of the document )


On the Ribbon, click the Insert Tab and go to the Header & Footer Group.
d1. Click the Page Number arrow, and the drop-down list of options will appear.
d2. Select Top of Page then selects Plain Number 3. Edit.
➢ Change the Font to Arial Black, 14, Bold, and Green.
➢ Click Designs Tab, go to the OPTIONS GROUP & check the Different First
Page.
➢ No Page Number will be displayed on Page 1 of the document. SAVE.

Change the filename of your document to 02 (EX. JDDELACRUZ – 02) ( click SAVE
AS)

e. INSERT – Header and Footer ( Header ) and Page Number ( Current Position, Page X
of Y Bold Numbers )

➢ Insert the Filename, Date & Time, and Page Number as Header.

On the Ribbon, click the Insert Tab and go to the Header & Footer Group.
e1. Click the Header arrow, and select Edit Header.
e2. On the Insert Group, click Quick Parts, select Field then Filename ( Uppercase )
e3. Press the tab then click Date and Time, select the format, 11/24/22, then
e4. Locate the mouse pointer and on the Ribbon, click the Insert Tab, and go to the Header
& Footer Group.
e5. Click the Page Number arrow, and the drop-down list of options will appear. Select
Current Position, Page X of Y Bold Numbers. SAVE.

f. Insert at the bottom right of the document:

f1. YOUR FILENAME: Font – Tempus Sans ITC Font Size - 14

f2. Date and Time: Format/pattern - 11/21/2022 11:01:50 PM, Font - Cambria – 12 & Blue

f3 SAVE.

g. Apply Find and Replace

g1. Change the word document to article.

g2. On the Ribbon, click the Home tab, and go to the Editing Group.

Click the small inverted triangle after the Find button. (A Drop Down lists

commands will be displayed)

g2.2 Select Advanced Find. Find and Replace Dialog Box will be displayed.

g2.3 On the Find what box, type the word document (small letter).

g2.4 On the Find In box, click the small inverted triangle and select Main Document

Click Replace tab (next to the Find tab) and on the Replace with box, type

article (small letter).

Click Replace All box, and a Dialog box will be displayed, click OK. Close the

dialog box but let the word article be selected or highlighted.

Change the Font Color to Green and the font style to Bold & Underline.

SAVE & Close.
