ABSTRACT
Whether you're using wireless internet in a coffee shop, stealing it from the guy next
door, or competing for bandwidth at a conference, you've probably gotten frustrated with
iv
the slow speeds you face when more than one device is tapped into the network. As more
and more people and their many devices access wireless internet, clogged airwaves are
going to make it increasingly difficult to latch onto a reliable signal.
But radio waves are just one part of the spectrum that can carry our data. What if we could
use other waves to surf the internet? One German physicist Dr. Harald Haas, has come up
with a solution he calls "Data Through Illumination"-taking the fiber out of fiber optics by
sending data through an LED light bulb that varies in intensity faster than the human eye
can follow. It's the same idea behind infrared remote controls, but far more powerful.
Li-Fi provides better bandwidth, efficiency, connectivity and security than Wi-Fi and has
already achieved high speeds larger than 1 Gbps under the laboratory conditions. By
leveraging the low-cost nature of LEDs and lighting units, there are lots of opportunities to
exploit this medium.

1. INTRODUCTION
In simple terms, Li-Fi can be thought of as a light-based Wi-Fi. That is, it uses light
instead of radio waves to transmit information. And instead of Wi-Fi modems, Li-Fi
would use transceiver-fitted LED lamps that can light a room as well as transmit and
receive information. Since simple light bulbs are used, there can technically be any
number of access points.
This technology uses a part of the electromagnetic spectrum that is still notgreatly
utilized- The Visible Light Spectrum. Light is in fact very much part ofour lives for
millions and millions of years and does not have any major ill effect. Moreover there
is 10,000 times more space available in this spectrum andjust counting on the bulbs
in use, it also multiplies to 10,000 times moreavailability as an infrastructure,
globally.
It is possible to encode data in the light by varying the rate at which the LEDs flicker
on and off to give different strings of 1s and Os. The LED intensity is modulated so
rapidly that human eyes cannot notice, so the output appears constant.

A) ARDUINO UNO:- Arduino uno is a microcontroller board based on the
ATmega328P (datasheet). It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can
be used as PWM outputs), 6 Analog inputs, a 16 MHz ceramic resonator
(CSTCE16M0V53-R0), a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header and
a reset button.

LED (light-emitting diode).
3
absence of light, or to measure the light intensity. Photoresistors are light
sensitive resistors whose resistance decreases as the intensity of light they are
exposed to increases.
4
liquid crystals combined with polarizers. Liquid crystals do not emit light directly,
instead using a backlight or reflector to produce images in color or monochrome.

The above canvas is for AEIOU, which is canvas of design engineering, and help
us to know about each small detail of our domain what does it actually consists. It
is major state because the further thing stand on this concept, also highlight of user
in present show about who does. Work of lifi-data transfer.

As per the new technologies coming now a days in the technical aspect we have
made this project .Now in present day some facility is available to make the life
easier. So the main purpose of this report is to give comfort to the user.
USER:
In present world our life is very fast so in this project we include in user are
Students, Engineer, general public ,labours ,workers, etc…,

touched and the works and also people find it uncomfortable to use the same sani
We saw many people find it difficult to keep them 100% safe with the sanitizer that
need to be tizer touched by others and also it is waste if sanitizer because it has no
limit to it.
So, we discussed with them and to come up with this solution of lifi- data transfer
we also discussed how we solved this problem and how we became their life easy.
STORY BOARDING:
HAPPY STORY:
Himesh work in Hospital in Bangladesh. He was worried about the safety because of the
covid-19 cases are increasing and he must have to keep his hands sanitized .So he bought
the IR based TOUCHLESS sanitizer dispenser for himself and also remaining and also
remaining staff,. Which helped him and his co worker it was time efficient and also used
minimal use of sanitizer and sanitized the hand in 360’ rotation.
HAPPY STORY:
9
Ramesh lives in Mumbai .He goes to office and works. He thought that that tapping the
sanitizer as always is get effective 100% for preventing of germs .So he made a
TOUCHLESS sanitizer dispenser. He was happy because it cost less than 2k rupees and
was economical. It also prevented the wastage of sanitizer. He was happy because it was
germs free and tapping problem was gone.
SAD STORY:
SAD STORY:
Sweta work in shop. She always had a large number of customers during covid 19 times.
She had a tapping sanitizer and one day a customer used to the sanitizer and sweta was
unaware that the customer had mild symptoms The customer did not sanitized the place
where we tap . So to fill sanitizer bottle she took and filled it but got germs and she had
lunch after that and unknowingly also got covid 19 and then she had to quarantine and it
cost a lot and also affected her daily life style.

8.LEARNING NEED MATRIX
We made the best use of technology by the use of LDR Sensor, LED display,
Bradbord , jumper wires , arudino , resistors and made it minimum and best use of
light with efficient way. This helps the person to transfer data at high speed.

10. ADVANTAGES OF LIFI DATA TRANSFER
its transmission speed would be much higher than that of Wifi transmissions.
As already mentioned, it would move in the range of 10 to 20 Gbps, and
maybe even more (in some tests it has even reached 224 Gbps).
19
Lifi could be used in certain places sensitive to electromagnetic areas, such as
airplanes or hospitals, without causing interference.
Lifi technology would be quite cheap to implement.
Safe From Electromagnetic Interferences.
Simple and Inexpensive to Deploy

connection speed. By deployment of this technology, we can migrate to greener,
cleaner, safer communication networks. The very concept of Li-Fi promises to
solve issues such as, shortage of radio-frequency bandwidth and eliminates the
disadvantages of Radio communication technologies. Li-Fi is the upcoming and
growing technology acting as catalyst for various other developing and new
inventions/technologies. Therefore, there is certainty of development of future
applications of the Li-Fi which can be extended to different platforms and various
walks of human life.
