Part One

Multimedia Missions is a blog spot where they seek to advance the Kingdom of Christ.

They have staff who are fully volunteers, who are working for the advancement of the good

news of Jesus Christ via online platforms (Blake Riedel 2021). The founders are Blake Riedel

and Mary Riedel, both being the President and Vice President, respectively. I was interested in

Christian blogs, which say that time is valuable, so make sure you use it, and life is to be valued

daily. I selected this blog spot platform because it gives us daily inspirational messages on what

is affecting our daily lives as Christians and those not born again.

Time is valuable. Life is to be Total

Time is Money Lessons

We must live our lives in a balanced manner in order to stop wasting time and make the

most of it. That includes spending time at work, with our families, with God, and volunteering

for a good cause (Blake Riedel & Mary Riedel 2021). Many of us don't have that time or don't
StudentName3

want to expend the effort to get it. Ironic. If you find yourself in this predicament, though, I have

some suggestions for you.

Life is to be valued. Lessons

Even if others mistreat us, we must endeavor to resolve the fight rather than prolong it.

We must break free from our old habits and embrace our more advanced Christian faith, which

requires us to serve others rather than ourselves. We should not bear grudges but rather forgive,

even though we do not forget what has been done to us. (Blake Riedel & Mary Riedel 2021).

Part Two

Observations at School

According to oxford dictionary observation is an act of noting and recording some event

or record of such noting. The term "observation" refers to a quantitative way of assessing

behaviors based on direct observations that specifies both the events or behaviors to be observed

as well as how they should be documented (Waxman, 2020). I used 20 minutes to form a

complete observation at school. During my observations I sat down on a bench at the school

compound to make my assessments putting in place all the COVID-19 safety protocols such

wearing a mask, social distancing and sanitizing. I had carried a note book and a pen to make

sure I capture all the required information.

The school compound is well maintained such that the grass is kept short, always green in

color surrounded with beautiful flowers, tall and short trees, birds of different colors could be

seen on top of these trees, all the pavements around school compound are always kept clean by

making sure in every 100 meters there is a dustbin, the school has also put in place measures to
StudentName4

curb COVID-19 by ensuring each student wears his/her mask, hand washing/ sanitizing points in

each entrance of the school.

During my observations, students were seen doing various activities. Some were seen

rushing to attend a class/lecture, while others were coming out of the class, some could been seen

at the school compound studying alone and others using group discussion, others came to relax

their mind by having fun by skating, riding bikes, and others having stories with their friends. I

also noted that very few students were seen walking alone to class/lecture, they were seen in

groups of two and three. I noticed each student had a back bag either when he/she is attending a

class or coming out of the class. Boys were seen to be many compared to girls. Many students

were whites and very few African-American. Can we say many African-Americans are not

admitted to this school? I think that is not the case because our country allows equality during

admission of students to all our schools.

The behavior of these students was excellent during my time of observation. I did not

experience any quarrels or abusive language or any other form of bad behaviors. Finally, each

student seemed to follow the rules and regulations put in place by the school administration.

At the end of my observation something captured my attention seeing some students

helping their fellow colleague who had collapsed by giving her first aid and taking her to the

hospital. This showed a sign of kindness and empathy among those students.

Part Three

In her work On the Run: Wanted Men in a Philadelphia Ghetto (2009), sociologist Alice

Goffman uses data from her six-year ethnographic study to demonstrate how incarceration and

the prospect of jail affect daily life in a Philadelphia neighborhood. Her research focuses on how

policing and monitoring in the neighborhood, often known as Sixth Street, affect the lives of the

neighborhood's poor black population. Goffman concentrated on the many males in the

neighborhood who had warrants out for "small offences" such as failing to pay court fees or

breaking curfew, as well as the daily problems they faced in avoiding identification and jail.

With issues like mass incarceration and racism gaining national attention, Goffman's

research on how fear of imprisonment affects people and communities outside of prisons is an

important addition to the discourse. While Goffman's research is topical and of significant

relevance to the academic community, she failed to fully introduce her research, explain her

methods, and display her findings in a delicious manner.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Qualitative Research

Louise Gaulle (2017), Qualitative research can track shifting views among a target group,

such as product or service consumers or attitudes in the workplace. Quantitative research

methods have constraints, but qualitative research methods do not. If the responses don't match

the researcher's expectations, qualitative data can be used to provide context and possibly explain

something that numbers alone can't. Qualitative research allows for a lot more flexibility.

Researchers can instantly adapt questions, change the setting, or change any other variable to

improve responses if important insights aren't being recorded (Louise Gaulle, 2017), Researchers

can be significantly more speculative about what they want to examine and how they want to do

it with qualitative data collection. It permits a researcher's intuition, or "gut feeling," about where

good information will be located to motivate data collection.

StudentName6

Louise Gaulle (2017), the data collected in qualitative research is largely subjective in

terms of quality. The personal character of data collection in qualitative research can be a

negative component of the process in this case. What one researcher considers vital and

necessary data may be dismissed by another researcher as pointless, and they will not pursue it.

Individual perspectives, as well as instinctive decisions, might result in extremely detailed data

(Louise Gaulle, 2017). Because it is based on researcher subjectivism, it may produce

generalized or even erroneous data. It’s more difficult to assess and demonstrate data rigidity.

Because individual opinions are frequently the backbone of qualitative research data, proving

rigidity in group data is more difficult. The human mind has a proclivity for remembering things

in the order in which it wishes to recall them.

Part Four

Wheeler K.S. (2020), Binge-watching is a relatively new behavioral pattern in which two

to six episodes of a TV show are watched in one sitting.

How Long Does It For You To Complete One Season Of A Series?

One of my friends stated that it can take him only one day to complete a full season with

12 episodes of a series depending on the type of series. If it is boring he might only watch one

episode but if it is interesting he can complete it within one day.

The second one had a different opinion since he responded by saying he can only

complete a full season of 12 episodes within 4 days, reason being his parents are strict and he

needs to help them with daily chores and he must study after doing the chores.

How Has Binge-Watching Affected Your Social Life?

StudentName7

(John) One friend gave opinion that binge-watching has not affected his social life since

when watching a series they will be watching with other friends or his family members.

(Paul) The other friend responded by saying it has really affected his social life because

he can stay indoors watching a series until he completes all the episodes having less time to

interact with other people.

Has Binge-Watching Affected Your Sleeping Behaviors?

John one of my friend said yes, binge watching has affected his sleeping behavior in such

a way that he can sleep late in the night so as to complete that series especially the interesting

ones. Therefore, he sometimes get late to school.

Paul stated that binge watching has not affected his sleeping behaviors in any way.

Reason being his parents are strict and is expected to be asleep by 10pm and wake early in the

morning for school. Unless it is on a weekend where he can extend his sleeping hours up to

12pm.

How Has Binge-Watching Affected Your Relationship With Family?

‘Sometimes we argue a lot with my parents due to binge watching especially when I get

late for school’ John responded.

Paul on the other hand, said that they are very close to his parents and they have a good

relation since he obeys his parents’ instructions.

Can You Say That Binge-Watching Any Advantages?

Both of my friends stated that binge-watching has many negative effects if one does not

have self-control.
StudentName8

Lessons learnt from binge-watching its findings suggest that there are two approaches to

comprehending binge-watching. The first is concerned with recreation, pleasant emotions,

cognition, and free time. The second viewpoint, on the other hand, emphasizes the negative

consequences of excessive binge-watching and the indicators of behavioral addiction.

Support When students work together in groups to achieve common learning goals, they

can provide encouragement to one another in order to stay motivated. It can be a rewarding and

joyful experience.

Susan (2020), Dedication prefer to stay up-to-date with class assignments because each

member of a study group agrees to actively participate in the group, which helps them be well

prepared for quizzes and tests without cramming, as well as turn in projects on time. It is easier

to avoid procrastination when you are a member of a study group learning team.

Communication and discussion Study groups can assist you in growing as a student, an

individual, and a professional. Study groups empower participants to think creatively and

communicate well, which aids in the refinement of subject teaching (Susan, 2020). Participants

in study groups have been shown to feel more confident and at ease about achieving their

academic goals.
