Activity Immediate Predecessor Time

A - 3
B - 1
C - 2
D A, B, C 4
E C, D 5
F A 3
G D, F 6
H E 4

a. Draw a project network.

A 0 3 F 3 6
3 0 3 3 7 10

B 0 1 D 3 7 G 7 13
1 2 3 4 3 7 6 10 16

C 0 2 E 7 12 H 12 16
2 1 3 5 7 12 4 12 16
b. What are the critical activities?
The critical activities are A-D-E-H
3 + 4 + 5 + 4 = 16 weeks

c. What activity has the most slack time?

Slack time = Latest start time - Earliest start time
Therefore, Letter F has the most slack time since it is the highest out of the rest, with the
value of 4 weeks (7-3=4)

d. Will the project be completed by September 1?

Since it will only take 16 weeks, yes it will be completed by September 1.
