WHAT A LOVELY LIFE!

 

 
Sarah Harper lives in Sierra Mountains in California. She has a cottage with a lovely garden
and some green areas near a forest. She lives there with her husband, Roger. Roger is a vet in
a local animals’ shelter. Sarah is a full-time writer of children’s stories.
Sarah has a regular work routine. She gets up at around 8:00. She has a shower, gets dressed
and takes her puppy, Flash, for a walk. They often walk for an hour in the forest. Sarah likes
the forest because it is inspiring. After their walk, at about 9:30, Sarah has breakfast and
feeds the dog. She starts working at about 10:30. She always reviews what she wrote the day
before, then she puts on her favorite CD of classical music to get in the mood to write. She
has a break at 1 o’clock. She cooks something quick for lunch. She often grills meat and
makes salad. She eats lunch and then takes Flash out for another walk at about 2:00. At
about 2:30 she works again until about 4:00pm.
Sarah has free time in the afternoon. She sometimes does the gardening or cleans the house.
Most of the time, though, she updates her website and answers he fans’ e-mails. At 8 o’clock in
the evening, Sarah makes dinner with her husband. He arrives home about 7 pm. After that,
they usually watch a film or play a board game. Then at 11:30 it’s time for bed. At the weekend
Sarah and her husband don’t work. They love walking in the forest and they like to have
picnics near the river. They always take Flash with them, of course. Some Saturdays they do
the shopping at a small supermarket in the town near their house. They really enjoy living out
of the stressful city life. Roger often helps Sarah with the housework on Sundays, but they
frequently sit in the living room and read a nice book together. They really relax during the
weekend.
