Instructions
1. Assessments should be completed as per your trainer’s instructions.
2. Assessments must be submitted by the due date to avoid a late
submission penalty.
3. Plagiarism is copying someone else’s work and submitting it as your
own. You must write your answers in your own words and include a
reference list. A mark of zero will be given for any assessment or part of
an assessment that has been plagiarised.
4. You may discuss your assessments with other students, but submitting
identical answers to other students will result in a failing grade. Your
answers must be yours alone.
5. Assessments must be submitted through the submissions folder in
myAPC.hub in MS Word format where possible, or in PDF as per your
trainer’s instructions. Cover sheets are to be submitted as separate files.
(Note if you do not have Microsoft Word software on your computer you
can work in Google docs and download your completed task in the MS
Word format prior to submission upload).
6. You must attempt all questions.
7. You must pass all assessments in order to pass the subject.
8. All assessments are to be completed in accordance with WHS regulatory
requirements.

1. This Assessment 2 is an individual task to be submitted to your trainer during


class in session 8 and submitted to your trainer as a typed word document.
2. Your trainer will advise the specified amount of words or length.
3. The task requires you to develop Part B of the report you did in your
first Assessment 1 on the International Marketing Opportunities for the
organisation outlined in the case study provided.
4. You must identify the sources of data to verify the validity of your results.

Assessment 2 – Case Study, Research and Report


Continue your report research and analysis of the chosen international market,
in consideration of the organisation and its products, including information
under the following headings:
1. Risk Factors
a. Analyse the political, financial stability and corruption risk factors for the
country you have chosen.
b. Discuss any relevant legal and regulatory requirements, and trade
barriers for the country you have chosen.
c. Analyse any risk associated with international business cycles in terms of
economic conditions that may impact the potential market.
2. Marketing Opportunities
a. Discuss any key market trends in the relevant industry, market needs,
target segmentation, and consumer preferences or purchasing patterns.
b. Explore at least two modes of entry to the chosen international market
i.e.
i. Exporting
ii. Licensing
iii. Franchising
iv. Joint venture
v. Strategic alliance
3. Viability of Marketing Opportunities
a. Identify & analyse the marketing opportunities in terms of:
i. their likely fit with your organisations goals and capabilities
ii. their impact on the current business and customer base
b. Use an assessment of costs, benefits, risks, potential competitors, and
probable return on investment to determine the financial viability of each
marketing opportunity.
4. Recommendations
a. Based on the assessment you have made, rank the marketing
opportunities in terms of viability and likely contribution to the business.
