FINAL PERFORMANCE TASK

PRE-RECORDED VIDEO OF THE DESIGN HEARING

GUIDELINES

A. Presentational Aids

1. Research groups must prepare a PowerPoint presentation that would briefly summarize their
research. The presentation must have the following contents:
a. Title Slide
b. Introduction
c. Statement of the Problem
d. Significance of the Study
e. Scope and Limitations
f. Significant Related Studies
g. Methodology

2. Slides must contain only the most essential points in phrases, diagrams, figures, etc. Avoid
Placing paragraphs. Font size for contents should be preferably 28-34.

3. Content of presentation must focus on the following points

• what will be investigated
• why it will be studied and its significance/contribution to existing knowledge
• how it will be investigated, where and with whom

B. Video Specification

1. Video presentation must be within 10-12minutes only.

2. It should be focused on the idea that the Research Group is PROPOSING their Study to their
panelists.
3. Technicalities of the video must be observed to make sure that both PowerPoint presentation and
clear image and audio of speaker is presented within the same frame.
4. Names of the speaker must also be shown (as caption or subtitle) so that viewers will be able to
identify the one speaking in the video. It is highly advised to have names of students as the only
caption or subtitle to be placed since PowerPoint Presentation is to be shown together with student’s
recorded presentation.
5. It is sufficient to record individual parts separately and then combine them together to come up with
appropriate graphics, synthesis, editing and transitions.

C. Presenters

1. Students must wear a formal attire for video recording.

2. For the introductions, the whole body (or knee length) of the presenter must be visible within the
frame. As for the rest of the presentation, half-body shots are sufficient.
3. All recorded video of each presenter must be done live. There should be NO VOICE OVER during
the whole presentation. Minimize background music and make sure that the speakers voices are
loud and clear enough to be heard.
4. Each group member preferably has to have equal distribution of ‘screen time’ for the whole
duration of the video. The group has to decide who will present the each part of the proposal

INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE RATING

The topic proposal and title hearing will be graded as a group; thus, each one of you will
merit the same score that you will gain from these tasks subject to the degree of cooperation as
assessed by your peer and group leader/lead researcher.

The individual rating sheet below shall be facilitated by the group leaders. Each member
will have to
assess their own contribution to the tasks, then will be rated by a peer, and lastly by the group
leader. The group leader shall compile all the members’ rating sheets in one pdf file, compute the
average score and submit it in canvas.

For members whose contribution is marginal, i.e., below 50% of the total score of the
leader’s rating, final
performance task score will be computed as follows:

Leader’s Rating/Total Score * Group Score = Final Performance Task Score

The average score of your leader's rating, peer's rating, and self-assessment will be
recorded as another entry in your performance task.

TOTAL POINTS: 30
