1. What is the Chain of Command? Why is it important and how does it stay implemented.

What can happen if you don't follow it? * The chain of command is which questions are
asked from the lowest ranking person and moving up if the issue is still unanswered, this
is the most effective way to get questions answered. An individual has to at least wait
twelve hours before asking the next highest Officer. It is the best and easiest way to
handle concerns in the group and is important as you are not bothering the higher
Officers as they have greater concerns to deal with than answering simple questions
which can be answered by the lower rank Officers. The Chain of Command stays
implemented by people enforcing it and giving out punishments if not abiding by it,
which in turn makes people follow it. If a person chooses not to follow the chain of
command they can get a low punishment which is either a demotion or a fire warning or
they can get a high punishment which ranges from either an exile or a blacklist. - -

7. Choose one of the officer conduct standards you've been taught within OTC and explain
its importance in your own words (Incase you don't remember, Officer Conduct's are;
Microphone Usage, Quota, Tryout Schedule, Server Spreading, Officer Purge) * One
officer conduct standard I have been taught and believe to be one of the most vital for a
regiment is Quota. A Quota is what makes the regiment active. If there is no Quota, then
there is no activity. Even though having a Quota on a Roblox game does seem stupid it's
what sets you up for real-life situations and gives you the experience and the discipline
early on. This is why I believe having a quota is so important. People can take the
discipline that was learned from their experience as an Officer in the British Army from
having a Quota and take it into the real world to benefit them. - -

13. What is the importance of admin regulations in the British Army? What would the result
be if these rules were not implemented? Explain in detail. * The importance of admin
regulations is that people can earn their admin by going up the ranks and not instantly
getting access to every admin command. If this were the case then I believe there would
be a lot of admin abuse around the British Army as people would join a regiment then
aim for Recruiting staff. Therefore people having full admin command access will abuse
the hell out of it for example flying everywhere or doing ":ape all" to everyone, and the
individuals would not care as they did not spend a lot of time achieving access to that
level of admin. If people earned their admin then they are less likely to abuse it,
therefore, being more incentive about not abusing it and would rather not risk the position
they have worked hard to achieve. Therefore Admin regulations are a good thing as it
stops admin-hungry people from instantly getting admin and having to earn it. - - (edited)

15. What is the importance of showing activity within one's regiment? What are some things
that you can do to show your activity, go into detail and explain your reasoning. * The
importance of showing activity in your regiment is so that it makes other people active.
By doing so if you are hosting events frequently and are in the Discord chat actively
talking, it makes other people join in and avoids the regiment from becoming completely
dead at times. You can show your activity by roaming around the Sandhurst Academy
and hosting tryouts or events for your company or regiment. You can also show activity
by being in the voice chats and talking to people in your regiment about general topics
and having discussions. Bonds can also be created amongst each other and not only make
yourself active but also make the others around you in your regiment active as you will
start to create a personal connection towards each other, hence they will keep on being
active as they have made friends which in turn makes them want to spend more time in in
the regiment. - -

21. If you were the Commanding Officer in OTC, what kind of changes would you wish to
make and why? * If I was the Commanding Officer in the Officer Training Corps I would
not make too many changes as I believe the Current Commanding Officer has done a
great job so far in the regiment. But if I had to pick one thing to change it would probably
be Phase 1 and 2 being more involved. Instead of the instructor just reading it out and the
attendees rushing notes down before the instructor reaches the next section, I believe it
would be better if the notes were displayed on a whiteboard like in the ETS building.
Once the attendees have finished writing down the notes they can say something along
the lines of "Read, Sir/Ma'am" and move on to the next slide. When I was in phases one
and two, I rushed to take down notes faster than I would have liked, even though the host
was speaking at an average pace, I could barely keep up. But I understand that this will
most likely not be added as it could take too much time to implement and could have
some flaws. But other than that, in my opinion, the current OTC Commanding Officer
has done a great job with the regiment and I hope to see amazing changes done in the
future for the good of OTC.
