Lesson 2 Get the students to colour important symbols of Pakistan, like the Flag, Quaid
E Azam etc.
Lesson 3 Have the students draw important monuments such as the Minar E Pakistan,
Khyber Pass etc.(by doing so, they will further get familiar with their
homeland)
Lesson 4 Tell the students about important figures such as Quaid-E-Azam, Allama Iqbal
and the contributions they made in forming a new homeland for the Muslim.
(such as Quaid-e-Azam’s 14 points and Allama Iqbal’s Allahabad Address in
1930)
Lesson 5 Give an overview of the Mughal Empire and the Mughal Emperors (Babar,
Humayun, Akbar, Jahangir, Shah Jahan, and Aurangzeb e.t.c.)
Lesson 6 Enter the British:
Why the british were attracted to the sub-continent(commercial and economic
interests)
The new way of life that they brought in India(railways) and the reaction of the
native Indians to such advancements.
Lesson 1 Give a brief introduction about the British’s arrival in the subcontinent.
Why did they come? And what measures they took to expand their trading
posts.
Lesson 2 Discuss the ways the British came to power and took control of the
subcontinent.
Cover areas such as their superior military force.
Discuss the various policies that the British imposed on Indian rulers to gain
power.(Divide and Rule Policy, Doctrine of Lapse)
Lesson 4 Talk about Sir Syed Ahmed Khan and his contributions in the field of
education. Mention his Two-Nation Theory and how he emphasised on the
fact that Muslims and Hindus are two different communities.
A skit can also be done
Lesson 5 Languages:
How and why Urdu became the national language. Mention other languages
such as Pashto, Sindhi and the ways they were promoted.
Students can be divided into groups, with each group getting one language
and making a presentation.
