NOTE 2: Only PW127F engines Build Specification No. 1033 are eligible for direct
PW127M engine conversion. (Refer to Service Bulletin P&WC
No. PW100-72-21757).
NOTE 3: The change proposed in this Service Bulletin has been embodied on
production aircraft on MSN 779 and subsequent.

B. REASON
The aim of this Service Bulletin is the PW127F to PW127M engine conversion equipped
with a Data Collector Unit (DCU).
This DCU allows an automatic cycle counting.

3. ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS
A. GENERAL
The following instructions assume that work will be accomplished when the aircraft is in
the appropriate maintenance configuration.
B. JOB SET-UP
(1) De-energize the aircraft electrical network and connect the aircraft to ground as per
AMM (JIC) 24-40-00 EAD 10000.
(2) In flight compartment, install a warning notice to warn the personal that work is being
performed on the engines.
(5) On LH engine nacelle, remove cowls 435AT, 435AL, 436AR, 473AL, 474AR and
475AT as per AMM (JIC) 54-00-00 RAI 10000.
(6) On RH engine nacelle, remove cowls 445AT, 445AL, 446AR, 483AL, 484AR and
485AT as per AMM (JIC) 54-00-00 RAI 10000.
(7) In flight compartment, open circuit breaker panels 121VU and 122VU.
(8) On the electrics rack 90VU, remove panels 214CZ, 214BZ, 222FZ and 222CZ as per
AMM (JIC) 25-13-10 RAI 10000.
(9) In forward cargo compartment, remove ceiling panels 221AC, 231AC and 221CC as
per AMM (JIC) 25-54-21 RAI 10000.
(10) In forward passenger compartment, remove ceiling panels 231BC and 231CC as per
AMM (JIC) 25-23-21 RAI 10000.

(2) Re-energize the aircraft electrical network and disconnect the aircraft from ground as
per AMM (JIC) 24-40-00 EAD 10000.
(4) Measure the tension between pins -A and Z of connectors 415VC1-A and 415VC2-A.
Check that the value is 28V.
(5) De-energize the aircraft electrical network and connect the aircraft to ground as per
AMM (JIC) 24-40-00 EAD 10000.
(6) Measure again the tension between pins -A and Z of connectors 415VC1-A and
415VC2-A. Check that the value is still 28V.

NOTE: When the aircraft is de-energized, this tension will be maintained during
10 minutes. Consequently, the measurements on both connectors 415VC1-A
and 415VC2-A must be done within a time limit of 10 minutes.
(7) On 122VU, open the circuit breaker 210KS EEC 1&2 ALTN SPLY.
E. CLOSE-UP
(1) In forward passenger compartment, re-install ceiling panels 231BC and 231CC as per
AMM (JIC) 25-23-21 RAI 10000.
(2) In forward cargo compartment, re-install ceiling panels 221AC, 231AC and 221CC as
per AMM (JIC) 25-54-21 RAI 10000.
(3) On the electrics rack 90VU, re-install panels 214CZ, 214BZ, 222FZ and 222CZ as per
AMM (JIC) 25-13-10 RAI 10000.
(4) In flight compartment, close circuit breaker panels 121VU and 122VU.
(5) On RH engine nacelle, re-install cowls 445AT, 445AL, 446AR, 483AL, 484AR and
485AT as per AMM (JIC) 54-00-00 RAI 10000.
(6) On LH engine nacelle, re-install cowls 435AT, 435AL, 436AR, 473AL, 474AR and
475AT as per AMM (JIC) 54-00-00 RAI 10000.
(10) Re-energize the aircraft electrical network and disconnect the aircraft from ground as
per AMM (JIC) 24-40-00 EAD 10000.
