accomplishment of modification No. 05909 or Service Bulletin
No. ATR72-71-1011 (entitled: "Power plant - Installation of universal engine
harness") or Service Bulletin No. ATR72-71-1012 modification No. 08495
(entitled: "Power plant - Installation of universal engine harness on aircraft
not equipped with modification No. 04781 (T5168)").
NOTE 2: Only PW127F engines Build Specification No. 1033 are eligible for direct
PW127M engine conversion. (Refer to Service Bulletin P&WC
No. PW100-72-21757).
NOTE 3: The change proposed in this Service Bulletin has been embodied on
production aircraft on MSN 779 and subsequent.

B. REASON
The aim of this Service Bulletin is the PW127F to PW127M engine conversion equipped
with a Data Collector Unit (DCU).
This DCU allows an automatic cycle counting.

C. DESCRIPTION
Accomplishment of this Service Bulletin consists in carrying out the following jobs:
(1) PW127F to PW127M engine conversion
(2) Circuit breaker 122VU panel modification
(3) Relay 209KS installation
(4) Re-orientation of one clamp on the draining line
(5) Wiring modification

3. ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS
A. GENERAL
The following instructions assume that work will be accomplished when the aircraft is in
the appropriate maintenance configuration.
B. JOB SET-UP
(1) De-energize the aircraft electrical network and connect the aircraft to ground as per
AMM (JIC) 24-40-00 EAD 10000.
(2) In flight compartment, install a warning notice to warn the personal that work is being
performed on the engines.
(3) Install access platform at engine nacelles level.
(4) Install fire fighting appliances.
(5) On LH engine nacelle, remove cowls 435AT, 435AL, 436AR, 473AL, 474AR and
475AT as per AMM (JIC) 54-00-00 RAI 10000.
(6) On RH engine nacelle, remove cowls 445AT, 445AL, 446AR, 483AL, 484AR and
(7) In flight compartment, open circuit breaker panels 121VU and 122VU.
(8) On the electrics rack 90VU, remove panels 214CZ, 214BZ, 222FZ and 222CZ as per
AMM (JIC) 25-13-10 RAI 10000.
(9) In forward cargo compartment, remove ceiling panels 221AC, 231AC and 221CC as
per AMM (JIC) 25-54-21 RAI 10000.
(10) In forward passenger compartment, remove ceiling panels 231BC and 231CC as per
AMM (JIC) 25-23-21 RAI 10000.
C. MODIFICATION
(1) PW127F to PW127M engine conversion
The conversion from PW127F to PW127M engine will be done through

accomplishment of Service Bulletin P&WC No. PW100-72-21757.

(5) Wiring modification
NOTE: At each wire installation, the following instructions must be observed:

Cut the wires to the necessary length, crimp the terminals and connect
accordingly.
Perform continuity test of the new wiring.
Attach with cable ties as per AMM chapter 20-21-21.
Refer to Figure 5 up to Figure 8 and Hook-up chart Figure 9 and Figure 10.
(a) Remove:
Wires according to Hook-up chart and wiring diagram.
(b) Modify:
Wires according to Hook-up chart and wiring diagram.
(c) Install on existing routing:
Wires according to Hook-up chart and wiring diagram, supplied in bundle

S9110183500195.
D. TESTS
(1) In zone 400, unplug connectors 415VC1-A and 415VC2-A.
(2) Re-energize the aircraft electrical network and disconnect the aircraft from ground as
per AMM (JIC) 24-40-00 EAD 10000.
(3) On 21VU, open the following circuit breakers:

- 1KS ENG CTL/ENG 1/EEC/EMER SPLY
- 2KS ENG CTL/ENG 2/EEC/EMER SPLY
- 28KS ENG CLT/ENG 2/EEC NORM SPLY
- 29KS ENG CTL/ENG 1/EEC NORM SPLY
(4) Measure the tension between pins -A and Z of connectors 415VC1-A and 415VC2-A.
Check that the value is 28V.
(5) De-energize the aircraft electrical network and connect the aircraft to ground as per
AMM (JIC) 24-40-00 EAD 10000.
(6) Measure again the tension between pins -A and Z of connectors 415VC1-A and
415VC2-A. Check that the value is still 28V.

NOTE: When the aircraft is de-energized, this tension will be maintained during
10 minutes. Consequently, the measurements on both connectors 415VC1-A
and 415VC2-A must be done within a time limit of 10 minutes.
(7) On 122VU, open the circuit breaker 210KS EEC 1&2 ALTN SPLY.
(8) Plug again connectors 415VC1-A and 415VC2-A.
(9) Close all the circuit breakers previously opened.
E. CLOSE-UP
(1) In forward passenger compartment, re-install ceiling panels 231BC and 231CC as per
AMM (JIC) 25-23-21 RAI 10000.
(2) In forward cargo compartment, re-install ceiling panels 221AC, 231AC and 221CC as
per AMM (JIC) 25-54-21 RAI 10000.
(3) On the electrics rack 90VU, re-install panels 214CZ, 214BZ, 222FZ and 222CZ as per
AMM (JIC) 25-13-10 RAI 10000.
(4) In flight compartment, close circuit breaker panels 121VU and 122VU.
(5) On RH engine nacelle, re-install cowls 445AT, 445AL, 446AR, 483AL, 484AR and
(6) On LH engine nacelle, re-install cowls 435AT, 435AL, 436AR, 473AL, 474AR and
(7) Remove fire fighting appliances.
(8) Remove access platform.
(9) In flight compartment, remove the warning notice.
(10) Re-energize the aircraft electrical network and disconnect the aircraft from ground as
per AMM (JIC) 24-40-00 EAD 10000.
