2002 AND 2003 ALTIMA; FUSE #19 OPEN


This bulletin amends NTB02-060. This version includes all 2002 and 2003 Altima.
Please discard all paper copies of the earlier bulletin.

APPLIED VEHICLES: 2002 and 2003 Altima

SERVICE INFORMATION
If a 2002 or 2003 Altima has the following symptoms:
• A/T shift selector cannot be moved to the desired position.
• The vanity mirror lights do not operate.
• Turn signal indicators on the dash do not operate.
• Fuse #19 is found to be “open”.
Determine if the room lamp harness is damaged and touching a ground. This may result in
fuse #19 being open.
Use the Service Procedure in this bulletin to locate and repair the damaged harness if this
incident should occur.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Remove the left or right sun visor.
2. Inspect the room lamp wire harness in the area where the sun visor mounts to the roof.
• If damage is found, repair and reroute as necessary. Replace the open fuse.
• If no damage is found at the first sun visor, remove the other sun visor and inspect
the harness in the same area (where the sun visor mounts to the roof).
• If no damage is found to the harness at either the left or right sun visor mounting
locations, this bulletin does not apply. Look for another cause of the incident.

CLAIMS INFORMATION
Submit a Primary Failed Part (PP) line claim using the following claims coding:
OPERATION PFP OP- CODE SYM DIA FRT
Repair Wiring Harness(1) (2) RA16AA ZE 61 (3)
1. Do NOT use any other Op Codes with RA16AA.
2. Reference the Altima Parts Catalog and use the indicated wiring harness P/N as the
PFP.
3. Straight-time operation – use actual clock hours.
