INTRODUCTION
This call for admission concerns the requirements, the deadlines and the methods to enroll in the
second cycle degree in the international curriculum Global Change Ecology and Sustainable
Development Goals (GCE&SDGs) – second cycle degree Scienze e Gestione della Natura, LM-60
(code 9257).
All relevant information about the master’s degree programme are available in the university web

Applicants shall be evaluated by a Committee appointed by the Degree Board in order to ascertain
their fulfilling the entry requirements as well as their English proficiency and Applicants’ academic
profile.

SECTION 3 – ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Admission is granted to Applicants who satisfy curriculum requirements and whose personal
preparation is deemed suitable. Applicants’ personal preparation is assessed taking into account
their academic records and the documents they provide.
Such assessment (“admitted” / “not admitted”) depends on the Admission Board’s irrevocable
decision.
For those graduating outside the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) who do not have the ECTS
credits system in their career, the Evaluation Board will determine whether the number and the
academic scientific contents of the exams they passed is sufficient to be evaluated.
Graduating students will be allowed to apply and enroll under condition of receiving their bachelor
degree (first cycle degree) by a certain deadline, that will be set by the Academic bodies and will be
indicated later in the degree website.
Applicants can submit their applications, receive the admission results and enroll according to the
following general schedule:

2. Click on “APPLY FOR ADMISSIONS”, select “SECOND-CYCLE DEGREE” and pick the degree you
are interested in.
COMPULSORY DOCUMENTS
• Scanned copy of passport/identity card (front and back);
• Transcript of academic records: Bachelor’s Degree certificate in Italian or English detailing
the full list of exams and grades achieved, including the final graduation mark (if any). Italian
students can upload a self-certification of their first-cycle degree, whereas EU applicants can
upload their Diploma Supplement. Graduating students can upload only the transcript of
exams.
• English proficiency certificate (see section 2);
• CV/résumé;
• Cover letter.
OPTIONAL DOCUMENTS
• Scanned copy of the residence permit (if any);
• Further documents.
ATTENTION!
• Optional documents might be compulsory for some degrees: please refer to the degree
website for further information.
• Only complete applications will be evaluated, that is, having all the compulsory documents
uploaded by the deadline.
• Incomplete applications will not be evaluated and will remain pending (“yellow status” );
incomplete applications will be evaluated in the subsequent intake as long as they have been
fully finalized.
• Under no circumstances are application documents to be sent by email or by regular mail.

SECTION 6 – ADMISSION AND ENROLLMENT
Students will receive feedback according to Section 4 (admission schedule); they can check their
application’s status on www.studenti.unibo.it to be either greenlighted (admitted) or redlighted
(not admitted).
Afterwards, they will be able to enroll - yet again according to the deadlines indicated in Section 4 -
upon receiving the go-ahead.
Admitted students only will receive information on matriculation and further steps to their Unibo’s
email address (name.surname@studio.unibo.it) which was created with their Unibo’s account.
Not admitted students will not be able to submit a new application in the following intakes.
Graduating students will be allowed to enroll under condition of receiving their bachelor degree by
a deadline which will be indicated later in the degree website, otherwise they will forfeit their
position. Please inform the following Segreteria Studenti Scienze segscienze@unibo.it as soon as
the degree has been obtained. If you are a NON-EU student residing abroad please inform Segreteria
Studenti Internazionali Bologna segstudintbo@unibo.it .
Upon paying the first instalment, check on www.studenti.unibo.it to verify the subsequent steps
needed in order to finalize your enrollment.
Students with disabilities with recognised invalidity of at least 66%, and those whose disability is
recognised by law 104/92, can benefit from the tuition fees waiver as stipulated here. In order to
do so, they should send off the relevant documents to Segreteria Studenti Scienze

Upon your arrival at the University of Bologna, you will need to set an appointment with the
SegreteriaStudenti Internazionali in order to show off hard copies.
